Just like in the case of “Half-Life 3,” Valve has yet to come out with an official statement whether its multiplayer zombie shooter video game “Left 4 Dead 3” is now in development or not, or whether the game development company intends to do it at all or not.
According to previous rumors, the game is indeed in development and it could be released sometime next year, reports the Christian Today.
The speculations stemmed from the fact that Valve is planning to move to an even bigger office which could signal the possibility of the company hiring more employees to focus on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3” among other major titles in its company’s roster.
The planned move has set speculations that Valve’s team of game developers is getting ready to focus on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3,” among other video games on the company’s roster.
The lack of a dedicated development team is the reason why the company has not yet launched highly-anticipated games such as the “Left 4 Dead 3” and “Half-Life 3.” However, with the company’s expansion plan, Valve may have the right number of manpower to finish the games which could have long been in development.
Ready for ‘Left 4 Dead 3’
Some gamers are now refreshing their skills set by practicing “Left 4 Dead” and “Left 4 Dead 2” which could be an indication that they are now awaiting for “Left 4 Dead 3.”
There are also reports saying that when “Left 4 Dead 3” comes out on the gaming consoles and the PC, it shall already be capable of supporting the VR technology.
It is possible that the VR technology would be used first on “Left 4 Dead 3” before it is integrated into “Half-Life 3.” It is still not clear whether the VR technology would also be used by Valve in some of its upcoming game titles.
The speculations about the VR capability of “Left 4 Dead 3” emanated from the recent launching of the HTC Vive VR headset to be powered by Steam.
It could also be recalled that the first two games in the “Left 4 Dead” franchise were joint collaborations between Valve and Turtle Rock Studios, notes the Digital Spy.
Four new protagonists in the game
Reports have it that “Left 4 Dead 3” shall feature four new protagonists who shall be taking center stage in the zombie apocalypse.
The same reports are also saying that the four characters will feature three male and one female. They are going to be 24-year-old Caucasian Katherine, black gangster Irvin, Kenpo fighter Garrett Jr, and comic book nerd Keenan.
One source inside the American game development company also said that “Left 4 Dead 3” shall be a kind of prequel-sequel of “Left 4 Dead 2.” The story will take place one month after the zombie infection has begun to spread as shown in “Half-Life 2.”
The game shall also feature six campaigns including Crashland, Impasse, Inquisitor Land, Early Destination, Cliffhanger and No Mercy.
The upcoming multiplayer zombie shooter video game “Left 4 Dead 3” has been in the rumor mills for so long that fans are both getting anxious and excited about its impending release to the gaming consoles and the PC.
While Valve Corporation has yet to confirm whether the game is in development or not, it seems clear that the huge amount of gamer interests on “Left 4 Dead 3,” along with that of the survival first-person shooter video game “Half-Life 3,” are more than sufficient to convince the company to make a go of it.
From a business perspective, Valve Corporation would certainly want not to lose the profit potentials that the two games may deliver to the company.
