Talks about “Dance Moms” have largely been focused on star Abby Lee Miller lately, and more specifically her serious legal issues. Miller is still going through some difficult times and it doesn’t seem like she’ll have it easy anytime soon, while on the other hand cast members have been taking the opportunity to express their disappointment in their co-star, claiming that she deserves what she’s getting.
And while that might sound like a harsh reaction, it’s worth pointing out that it’s not a universal opinion shared by everyone on the set, and some have been more neutral and even somewhat supportive of Miller. In any case, it doesn’t look like Miller is going to have it easy anytime soon, as her legal troubles are still going quite strong.
Previous reports about her legal problems claimed that she could face up to almost three years in prison, but her attorneys have been working around the clock to get the potential sentence reduced. If things work out in her favor, she should be able to get off with just a six-month probation, but it sounds like this would actually be the best-case scenario for her.
Whether or not things will actually work out like that is hard to tell, especially given the public nature of the whole situation. Miller has constantly been in the news, and she’s been trying her best to get support from anyone she can, including her fans.
But statements made by some people close to her on the show’s set seem to indicate that she’s a bit alone in her current situation, as for example Kendall Vertes claimed that Miller deserves everything that’s happening to her right now.
According to Vertes, the repercussions she has to face at the moment are nothing more than classic karma, and Miller should have acted correctly if she didn’t want these things happening to her. Of course, it’s probably easy to make such statements from the point of view of someone completely unaffected by the situation.
Even the show’s host, Jai Rodriguez, has been engaging in some mocking behavior on the stage, and it’s clear that not many people are taking Miller seriously at this point. It will be interesting to see how things will work out for her career if she somehow manages to slip by unharmed from all her legal problems in the end, but it’s also hard to imagine that sort of situation unfolding.
Kendall seems to have a lot of anger built up against Abby Lee Miller for various reasons, including what she claims was a very unprofessional attitude as a manager. We don’t know how things were behind the scenes exactly, but it also wouldn’t be beyond Miller’s character to have been underperforming in her position as a music manager.
What’s going on with the show itself anyway? With so much drama around Abby Lee Miller and her relations to other stars on the set, it seems like that’s all that fans care about right now, and some have completely forgotten that this is all about a dance show.
Some have even been joking that the producers of “Dance Moms” could profit a lot by starting a spin-off based on all the drama. In any case, the show continues in its current state, and next up we’re going to see Nia Frazier and Kendall Vertes going against each other. The two will still have to work with Abby Lee Miller, whether they like it or not.
