Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime Coming to India, Price Allegedly Revealed in Leak!

The rumors about the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime’s arrival to India are finally over, as the device’s actual price has apparently been revealed in a recent rumor. When the phone arrives to the local market, it will reportedly cost Rs 18,790. The news is seen as mostly positive by tech geeks in the area, judging by responses online, and Samsung can likely make a very successful release with this phone on the Indian market.

It’s not a cheap device, but it’s not a very expensive one either, and it should be just perfect for the current state of the market in that region, according to experts. India has traditionally been a great place to sell feature phones and budget devices, while it also had its fair share of luxury buyers, but recently more and more people from that region have reportedly been looking at the mid-range of the smartphone market.

The Galaxy J7 Prime is not a bad phone either, with a nice 5.5 inch screen running at a Full HD resolution, and an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and paired with 3 GB of RAM.

Those specifications should be more than enough to make the device a comfortable portable working station for those who need more advanced features, while on the other hand buyers looking for good entertainment value should get just what they need as well.

The Prime is also a good upgrade over the standard Galaxy J7, aimed at those who need even more productivity from their devices. Samsung have apparently been listening carefully to the feedback from their users, as there were some specific complaints about the RAM size when the J7 was originally revealed.

Other than buffing its internal specifications though, Samsung have mostly preserved the original design of the Galaxy J7, and are apparently aiming for a familiar form factor. The device also ships with Android 6.0, and it’s expected that updates will roll out a bit slowly due to Samsung’s tendency to be a bit slow in their development.

All things considered though, this phone should be a great hit on the Indian market, and could be just what the company needs to get an even bigger boost in their ratings in the local area. We don’t know how well they will fare in terms of sales with this device, but the price seems at just about the right level to give it a good chance of success.

The release comes at a particularly good time in light of the recent announcement of the iPhone 7 and its “innovative” design changes, as there has been a sudden sharp rise in public interest in Android phones over the last day or two.

It looks like Samsung could benefit from focusing on the multimedia/entertainment features of the device when they advertise it, as people have been making various jokes about the removal of the headphone jack in the new iPhone, and that could benefit companies like Samsung coming out with new releases right now.

The only minor piece of criticism people have had towards Samsung with regards to their new release is about the presence of a fingerprint sensor, which many see as an unnecessary addition that only serves to buff the price of the phone. Indeed, there has been a controversial attitude towards fingerprint sensors on the market lately, not just among Samsung’s fans but in general, and it looks like it will take some time before the technology becomes properly adopted by everyone.
