2016 Apple MacBook Pro a No-Show at the American Tech Giant’s Annual Mobile Hardware Event; Laptop Line Rumored to Come Out in October

Widely anticipating and expecting fans of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro were disappointed that the American tech giant did not launch the device during the company’s annual mobile hardware event on September 7.

Other than the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus, the Apple Watch Series 2, and a Super Mario game, there was nothing about the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro or the rumored iPad Pro 10.5-inch or the wireless charging special feature from the Cupertino-based tech giant.

Latest reports now have it that the non-appearance of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro on September 7 only proves that Apple will be having another launching event next month to finally unveil the latest device in its laptop line and also the next iteration of its iPad Pro, reports the MacWorld of UK.

However, these remain as speculations pending the confirmation from Apple, which seems unlikely to do it anytime soon.

It would be the third time that the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro did not show up in an Apple event this year starting in March during the company’s “Let Us Loop You In” event, and then again in June during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016.

The reports are also saying that the launch of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro in October shall either be a single event or even a quiet update, the same way that the company did with the latest MacBook in April this year.

Rumors gaining steam

Rumors are now gaining steam that the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro shall come with a Retina Display and shall be running on Intel processors that are two or three years out of date, notes C/Net.

The speculations are also rife in saying that the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro shall have identical prices as its current models.

But the rumors are also fairly consistent in saying that the excellent features of the latest laptop from Apple are the OLED touch bar, the Touch ID, and the Apple Pencil Trackpad.

Accordingly, the 2016 MacBook Pro shall have a massive redesign from its previous model because it will be lighter and thinner than its predecessors. However, the laptop’s best feature would be its touch-ready secondary OLED display that shall be replacing the entire function key row atop the keyboard.

Easier to interact with device’s features

The secondary OLED display of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro shall offer contextual shortcuts to the user, making it even easier to interact with frequently used features that are going to be just one touch away.

The OLED bar should offer system-wide shortcuts, but also app-specific shortcuts, on the assumption that developers shall extend support to the feature.

Apple has yet to officially name the OLED display on the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro but insiders say that the company refers to it internally as the ‘Dynamic Function Row.’

The best feature of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro seemed to have been confirmed no less by reputable Apple analyst Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities as early as May this year.

What is also exciting users about the upcoming Apple laptop is its reported new features including a fingerprint scanner, a near-field communication (NFC) chip, and a wireless charging capability.

These major features are already common in some of Apple’s devices including iPhones and iPads, but they have yet to touch base on its laptop lines.

2016 Apple Macbook Pro

In fact, because of these reported features of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro when it officially comes out in the next few months that it is projected by analysts that laptop and notebook shipments are set to rebound beginning in the third quarter of this year.

Of the three rumored major features of the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro, the wireless charging capability seems to be the one that shall be a bit of a challenge because Apple has yet to launch an iPhone that has a wireless charging IC.
