Among the most anticipated vehicles lately, the 2015 Nissan Maxima would easily rank around the top of that list – and for a good reason. Nissan have a strong reputation in this market segment, and a lot of people are excited to see what they have prepared this time – but the company has been keeping somewhat secretive about the new vehicle. Nevertheless, there are plenty of rumors for those who enjoy reading them, but of course, most of them should be taken with a grain of salt.
Some of the most prominent rumors are indicating that Nissan have decided to take their design approach towards a smaller frame, and have reduced the overall dimensions of the new Maxima. This shouldn’t be interpreted in any negative way regarding the vehicle’s power though, as it still offers quite the strong capabilities for those who can make proper use of them – with a rumored 300 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 engine on the more powerful version, it should have more than enough of a boost for even the most enthusiastic drivers.
Meanwhile, Nissan have been reporting decreased sales for November, although this can be explained by the fact that the company has recently entered a new phase in their marketing, removing older models from their line-up, and also rearranging their offers in general.
Compared to last year’s November, the company has managed to sell a couple thousand fewer vehicles, or around 2% less – although their numbers still look good on their own. Experts have stated that the changes were more or less expected, and the company is expected to reverse the trend and see an upswing in their sales in the coming months.
Additionally, the company itself seems to have been expecting the low sales in November, as indicated by statements made by Fred Diaz. That was apparently their main motivation behind the recently lowered incentives, as they didn’t want to start throwing different offers of this type when they aren’t performing as well as they could on the market.
The main driving factor in the company’s sales over the next few months is expected to be the Altima, even though it was recently on a decline itself. The Altima alone saw a 7% decrease in sales during November, but according to Diaz, the company is predicting an improvement in its performance on the market, and they are actually confident that it will give them good results and compensate for the lower sales from other models recently. Whether or not this will actually play out in this way, the following weeks will tell – but Nissan have generally shown to have a strong market aptitude.
