“Quantico” took viewers by storm with its first season, and there’s been a lot of talk about the show since it arrived to the screen. Ever since then, fans have been curious about the producers’ plans for the future, and have been nervously waiting for any news about their favorite production.
And while some may have been worried that the show would go in the wrong direction for season two, recent reports indicate that the producers seem to have the right idea. On one hand, they’re willing to make changes to the story in order to set themselves up better for the future; on the other, they’re also apparently trying to stick to the core values of the show.
Many viewers were drawn by the mix of romantic stories and constant adventure that the first season showed, and it looks like this isn’t going away in the next one. However, the show will get a fresh coat of paint, and its main premise will be changed a bit.
For example, Priyanka Chopra will no longer play the role of an FBI agent, as she will be a CIA officer instead. There are apparently other similar changes coming to the plot of the show, and while they may seem like random moves, we’re sure that the writers have something specific in mind with regards to the future when they rearrange the show like that.
Reports also claim that we’re about to see some fresh faces on the screen, as more characters are apparently coming to the show. No details have been given about their exact involvement in the plot, but we’ve been seeing some interesting rumors. All in all, it sounds like “Quantico” is about to get a bit more dynamic in the relationships between its characters for season two.
Among the more interesting developments that fans should look forward to, Chopra’s character Alex will apparently have a new love interest in the new season. More specifically, she will find herself getting closer and closer to Ryan, but it’s not confirmed if that will be a temporary development over a few episodes, or something more major that will span across the entire season.
Fans definitely wouldn’t mind a more involved love story for Alex for the new season, judging by their discussion on forums, so the producers should look in that direction more seriously. Of course, as we said above, the people running “Quantico” have shown that they have a clear sense of direction for the production and they seem to know what they’re doing.
With that in mind, we trust that they’ve chosen the best course of developments for season two with regards to Alex, and we expect that her character will be explored to a good extent during this season. It’s not rare for shows to postpone deeper character expositions for later seasons, often due to the uncertainty surrounding their renewal after the first one.
So far, “Quantico” fans don’t have an apparent reason to worry about that at least, as the show has been doing quite well in the ratings department, and the producers seem determined to push it forward.
It will be interesting to see Alex adapting to her new role in the CIA, and it’s possible that this may lead to some stressful moments for her during the course of season 2. That would definitely be a welcomed development with regards to building up her character in a more interesting way though.
