‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6 to See Derek Hale and Other Characters Returning to Beacon Hills!

Season 6 of the American supernatural drama TV series “Teen Wolf” on MTV has been confirmed to be the last for the popular show.

In order to tie all loose ends during the final season leading to the series finale, reports have it that major characters in the past shall be returning to Beacon Hills to bring about closure to their respective storylines.

One of those characters, whose return to “Teen Wolf” is generating so much hype is Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Derek Hale in the TV series, reports the Parent Herald.

Hoechlin has played as Superman in the premiere season of “Supergirl” on CBS last year so the reports about his impending return to “Teen Wolf” had fans of the show really excited.

Derek Hale is actually the mentor of Scott McCall, played by Tyler Posey, who is the main protagonist and lead star of “Teen Wolf.” However, it has also been reported that Derek Hale shall only appear in two episodes of “Teen Wolf” Season 6 including the finale episode.

Similar to ‘Stranger Things’

Actress Holland Roden, who plays Lydia in “Teen Wolf,” has recently stated that the final season of the TV series is similar to the hit show “Stranger Things” on Netflix.

She was quoted as saying during the recent MTV Video Music Awards, that if the fans and viewers like “Stranger Things” Season 1 on Netflix, they would surely enjoy the Season 6 of “Teen Wolf.”

She also stated that the showrunner of “Stranger Things” is actually the same as the showrunner of “Teen Wolf.”

However, critics pointed out that the actress erred in her statement because the showrunner of “Teen Wolf” is Jeff Davis, while the creators of “Stranger Things” are the Duffer brothers. However, her statement does point out that the two shows will be very similar and that in essence, they could have been made by the same person, notes the Christian Today.

In fact, there are even reports saying that certain elements from “Stranger Things” might be taken into “Teen Wolf.”

“Stranger Things” mixed a lot of the 80s pop culture, government conspiracies, and people unaware of the supernatural investigating the supernatural but it also had a good amount of superpowers, which is very much like “Teen Wolf.”

All set to be released on November 15

While all eyes and ears are on the release date of the Season 6 of “Teen Wolf” on MTV, more than a handful of the fans is more focused on the possible plotline for the upcoming season of the hit show.

MTV announced during the San Diego ComicCon on July 21 that “Teen Wolf” Season 6 shall air on November 15. The event saw the cast members led by Tyler Posey and executive producer Jeff Davis holding court in a panel.

It was still not clear before the event if actor Dylan O’Brien, who is also one of the main protagonists in “Teen Wolf,” would be around during San Diego ComicCon as he was out of commission since March after suffering an injury during the filming of “The Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure.” O’Brien showed up during the event.

Basing on the Season 5 finale that featured the Nazi werewolf, reports have it that the upcoming Season 6 shall focus on the teen wolf pack of Scott McCall going after the Nazi werewolf.
