Motorola has been missing from the smartphone market for a few years before they decided it was time to take the mobile device world by storm. The company released two budget smartphones that came with very nice features and were going to allow just about anyone with about $200 bucks to upgrade without a contract. The idea was that you could buy the Moto X or the Moto G from Motorola and take it to a mobile carrier of your choice. Those two smartphone models were very close in terms of specs, but the Moto X came with a better camera while the Moto G came with a faster processor.
Now, Motorola is getting ready to release the next generation model for both of those smartphones. The Motorola Moto G2 is gonig to have a new upgrades including a better camera on the backside, better camera on the frontside and a microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB of storage. The phone features 1GB of RAM which is low by the standards on the market right now, but remember that you are getting a budget smartphone. The phone has a good 8.2 out of 10 rating in most places that you look online and is not going to disappoint those that decide to buy it.
One of the features that draw more people to the Motorola smartphone family is the fact that you are the first in line when Google decides it is time to upgrade the Android operating system. Just like the Nexus models, the Motorola models are first in line and get to experience new software before the rest of the Android powered world. Currently the phone comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed, but is guaranteed to get the Android Lollipop software update after you get the phone activated and everything.
The Moto G2 is going to features a 720×1280 resolution display that measures 5-inches and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone comes with stereo speakers located on the front of the phone and that includes a 3.5mm jack for your headphones. Motorola has had dreams of bringing affordable smartphones to the market. Not just cheap smartphones, but smartphones for under $200 and ones that come with features that you will be talking about.
Other specs for the Moto G2 includes an 8MP camera on the backside with LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama camera features that are built in and ready to use any time. The front side webcam is reportedly going to be a 2MP camera which is going to make taking selfies mean a whole lot more with the upgraded resolution. The Snapdragon 400 is clocked at 1.2GHz and pairs up nicely with the 1GB of RAM on the inside of the device. Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth support and GPS support round out the technical aspects of the phone.
