It’s been a while since we heard that Dylan O’Brien had been involved in an accident on stage, forcing him to take some time off work so he could recover. This immediately made some fans of “Teen Wolf” question the future of the show, and while filming did apparently get delayed, it will get back on schedule by October if everything works out, according to the latest reports.
Dylan O’Brien has been showing strong signs of recovery, and everything indicates that the actor will be back to his full capacity in about a month and a half, allowing him to resume his work on “Teen Wolf”. This is just an initial prognosis for now though, and there are also reports indicating that it’s still possible that he would have to take some extra time off to fully heal.
It’s apparently hard to judge the extent of his injuries at this time, so his physicians have decided to take the safer route and are pulling him out of heavy physical work for the time being. While this must be disappointing to the show’s fans, especially those who enjoy O’Brien’s character, it’s obviously the better option compared to allowing him to get back on the set immediately, only to see him suffer another injury shortly.
Hopefully season 6 will conclude its filming without any other major issues, as many fans of the show are eager to see what the producers are preparing for them. At least one major story arc is expected to be resolved in this season, and there will be various other minor developments that will have fans talking for quite a while. From everything we’ve heard about this season so far, it’s obvious that the producers of the show are putting a lot of effort into it.
That would make it quite disappointing indeed if the season has to be delayed even further due to the circumstances, but perhaps in that case the producers will be able to find a workaround. It wouldn’t be the first time a show has had to pull a character off the screen for a while due to off-set circumstances, and plenty of shows have survived after such incidents too. The important thing is that the integrity of the production is preserved, and this takes patience and careful planning.
This is particularly true in light of the rumors that the show is about to go through some relatively major changes in its cast setup, such as making the character of Theo a bit softer and not that directly evil. We’re curious to see what the producers could have in mind with this, as the show needs a clearly defined villain, but just because Theo won’t be as harsh as before doesn’t mean that he won’t make a good antagonist anymore; who knows, it could actually be a needed improvement for the character.
Other than that, we’ve heard rumors of some old characters coming back after a long absence, and this could apparently go even further in the show’s history than season 4. We aren’t sure who the producers could have in mind exactly, as there are several possibilities, but many fans are convinced that Tyler will make at least some appearance during this season, and it’s’ even possible that he will be brought back in a more permanent role. Of course, there are some potential issues with the storyline that will have to be addressed if this is to happen, but it’s still not out of the question.
