‘Fallout 4’ Developer Assured Gamers that They are Working Heavily to Bring the Game’s Mods Feature to the PlayStation 4!

It is one of those very few times when a game feature is playable on the PC and the Xbox One but not on the PlayStation 4.

That seems to be the case with the mods feature of the post-apocalyptic role-playing game “Fallout 4” developed by Bethesda Studios.

PlayStation 4 gamers have been waiting for the mods feature of “Fallout 4” for more than two months already and they now want answers to their questions, particularly on why the game’s expansion is now being enjoyed by gamers on the Xbox One and the PC, but they do not, notes the Vine Report.

It has been reported in the past that players using the PS4 have been anticipating for the expansion on “Fallout 4” for more than two months already but still nothing as of this time.

Reports have it that Bethesda Studios is encountering some rough sailing in making the mods feature expansion playable on the PlayStation 4. The game developer assured fans and gamers, however, that they are currently working on it and it will be rolled out to the PS4 for the benefit of its players once the game runs okay.

There are reportedly several problems in the porting process including Sony’s audio file compatibility from which the company uses a different audio format compared to the one preferred by Bethesda.

Final DLC for “Fallout 4”

The final DLC for “Fallout 4” is regarded as “Nuka World,” which is set to be released anytime this month.

Fans are hoping that the mods’ issues, particularly on the PlayStation 4, may be fixed before the new DLC arrives, cites Gotta Be Mobile.

Bethesda continues to add more contents to “Fallout 4” despite the game being already packed to the brim with hundreds of hours of content.

During the E3 2016, Bethesda disclosed that the next three pieces of “Fallout 4” DLCs including the “Far Harbor” DLC released in May, the “Contraptions Workshop” DLC released in June and also the Vault-Tec Workshop released on July 26.

Reports have it that the final DLC for the game, entitled “Nuka World,” is by far the largest among the DLCs of “Fallout 4.”

Drawing flak from modders

An update to “Fallout 4” entitled “Brain Dead” was released by game developer Bethesda Studios recently but instead of being appreciated, it actually drew flak from the game’s huge modding community.

Apparently, one modder Guillaume Veer felt that the new mod that came with the update drew inspiration or was copied from his mod called “Autumn Leaves” which he developed for “Fallout: New Vegas.”

The mod was released in October last year or about a month before Bethesda Studios officially launched “Fallout 4” in November last year.

Bethesda Studios immediately came out to dispel notions saying that it would not disrespect the modding community by stealing from it.

However, Veer cited the similarities between his mod and the “Fallout 4” DLC quest. He also compared the story beats, characters, and even the environment as strangely identical.

He explained that both quest and mod start with a discussion through an intercom before entering a vault. But when gamers go beyond the Vault’s entrance, the similarities become more apparent.

The premise of the “Autumn Leaves” involves a group of wealthy men who came together to build a library where history and culture could be preserved.

The library was transformed into a vault where one man accidentally got trapped inside earlier than anticipated. Without any other inhabitants to keep him company, the man decided to build a cadre of robots who could safeguard the library.
