‘Dance Moms’ Season 7 Young Dancers Expected to Come to their Own Sans Maddie Ziegler!

Losing Maddie Ziegler was a big blow to the American dance competition reality TV series “Dance Moms” on the Lifetime network after Season 6. It’s actually synonymous to the time when the show also lost Chloe Lukasiak after Season 4.

While everyone was focusing on the reasons why Maddie and her sister Mackenzie and their mother Melissa Gisoni left the show, they are losing sight of the fact that “Dance Moms” is actually a talent development show.

No matter how popular the stars of the show shall become, “Dance Moms” and its dance leader Abby Lee Miller, shall continue to draw on its young pool to develop new talents and fill the void left by those who have moved on.

It could be recalled that when Chloe Lukasiak was at her prime in “Dance Moms,” Maddie Ziegler was playing second fiddle most of the time. But when Lukasiak left to pursue more career options, Maddie Ziegler’s star started to shine in the TV series. In fact, Maddie has become the face of “Dance Moms” for Seasons 5 and 6.

But all that is water under the bridge now after she left the show to pursue a career in acting and other endeavors. And she was also joined by her sister and her mother in the process.

Out to prove critics wrong

While most critics are predicting that “Dance Moms” would be miserable in the TV ratings department without Maddie Ziegler in it for its upcoming Season 7, Abby Lee Miller and some fans think otherwise.

They believe that the other young stars of the show would take the departure of Maddie as an opportunity to rise up to the challenge and become the new star and face of “Dance Moms.”

As a matter of fact, they are now starting to come to their own particularly in social media where they have started to develop their respective fan bases.

Filming for Season 7 of “Dance Moms” shall begin in September and reports have it that stars Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, Nia Frazier-Sioux, and Brynn Rumfallo are good to go, notes Design & Trend.

Thus far, only JoJo Siwa remains unaccounted for as she has missed multiple competitions in Season 6. It is possible that she has some sort of a health problem or perhaps other personal issues but fans believe that she will be ready come Season 7 of “Dance Moms.”

The emerging stars at work

Indicative of the emerging status of the young stars of “Dance Moms,” practically all of them are in various gigs now that the TV series is on a hiatus.

Kalani Hilliker is actually contending for this year’s Teen Choice Awards for the Choice Dancer category where she is vying against former colleagues Maddie Ziegler and Chloe Lukasiak. The awarding ceremony will air on July 31. She shall also be doing a UK tour starting next month.

Kendall Vertes is off to San Diego with the Ziegler sisters for a dance event on July 29 in collaboration for a project with The Royal Academy of Performing Arts.

Nina Frazier-Sioux is currently in New York City for a Broadway performance in the show called “Trip of Love.”

Brynn Rumfallo, on the other hand, is modeling for Miss Behave Girls in between filming for “Dance Moms” or competing for the Abby Lee Dance Club.

JoJo Siwa is very active on her YouTube channel and also with her ongoing partnership with accessories brand Claire’s.

So obviously the talks about a possible dearth in the talent pool of “Dance Moms” will be looming high on the horizon come Season 7 of the show is baseless. It is almost sure as well that Abby Lee Miller shall be bringing in new young potential dancers for the show for its upcoming seventh season, whom she will mold to become the show’s next big stars.

As a dance talent show, there is certainly no monopoly of talents in “Dance Moms” and it sure can hold its own even after its flagship stars decide to move on and explore more potentials.
