The Republic Party has just made Donald Trump as its official nominee for the upcoming US presidential election in November. He will be running with Mike Pence as the party’s official VP nominee.
Adam Lambert has blasted Donald Trump when he saw the presidential hopeful during the Republican National Convention early this week using Queen’s iconic song “We are the Champions” to entice people to support his campaign.
Queen guitarist Brian May has already told Donald Trump and the Republican Party not to use Queen’s songs in any political event. Apparently, Trump does not want any non-American to meddle with his and their party’s affairs. Brian May, just like most of the members of the iconic rock band, is from the UK.
The “American Idol” alum seconded Brian May’s opinion but critics believe that Lambert’s position is not anchored on his political views but that of Trump’s position on same-sex marriage.
Trump has previously stated that when he gets elected as US president, he would strongly consider overturning same-sex marriage.
His Republican Party running mate, Mike Pence, is also anti-gay. In a recent statement, Pence recommended that money going to HIV/AIDS charities should instead fund gay cure therapy, details Gay Times of UK.
Second-class citizens
Lambert said that if Trump and the Republican Party treat gay people as second-class citizens, they don’t have the right to use Freddie Mercury’s music at their convention.
Queen has also posted on Twitter that the use of “We are the Champions” during the Republican National Convention was unauthorized.
The band’s publishing company, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, has also released an official statement claiming they have never been asked by Trump or his campaign to use the Queen’s music.
The company said that they are really frustrated by the repeated unauthorized use of the song after a previous request to desist, which has obviously been ignored by Mr. Trump and his campaign.
It added that Queen does not want its music to be associated with any mainstream or political debate in any country. Nor does Queen want “We are the Champions” to be used as an endorsement of Mr. Trump and the political views of the Republican Party,” the company added.
In addition to Queen and Adam Lambert, Elton John and Adele have also asked Donald Trump to stop using their music on his political campaign against their wishes.
Sing in Hebrew
Incidentally, Brian May has encouraged Jewish singer-songwriter Adam Lambert to sing in Hebrew during their upcoming concert in Israel.
May recently played a video of Adam Lambert back in 2005 singing the popular song Shir L’Shalom (Song for Peace) during his recent interview with Israel television personality Assi Azar, notes Breitbart.
The Queen’s lead guitarist was so impressed by Lambert’s singing of the Hebrew track that he told the American singer that they have to do it and put it in their Israel show.
He was also quoted as saying during the interview that Lambert’s voice is not just amazing but one in a billion.
The video was also reposted on Facebook by Creative Community for Peace (CCFP). Queen + Adam Lambert are set to perform at Tel Aviv\s Park Hayarkon on September 12.
Lambert recently said that he is thrilled to perform in Israel because he has never been in the place before and is also looking forward to the visit.
It is normal for some people to wallow in pity after they have been through a lot of ordeals in life. After all, there is not a single person in this world who has not faced challenges in his or her lifetime.
Pop superstar Adam Lambert is one frank individual so much so that he can actually talk and share about his feelings and emotions to almost everybody including his millions of fans around the world.

I consider myself a independent voter. The pro choice issue has always been a main concern for me. I am 100 % for a woman’s choice. I am a woman, and I have been in that situation. And, I always wanted a woman for president. Hillery was such a disappointment. So, I put my views about pro choice aside and realize this issue may not be as important as the state of our country’s safety. I can understand how important gay rights are to Adam, and many other liberals. What bothers me, is the influence Adam has with his fans.
Many would follow him to the ends of the earth. I wish all celebrities would keep their political opinions to themselves. I know this is not their fault, but so many people are unable to think for themselves, and simply vote for whoever they’re idol votes for. By the way, I am also a die-hard Adam Lambert fan , and a Queen fan. The best talent and collaboration I have heard . I have been to several of Adams concerts, and several with Queen. Not only gifted musically, but nice people ! Wish I could travel to Israel to see this amazing concert !
