Kim Kardashian sure knows how to drop a bomb and now everyone knows how powerful Snapchat is! After Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the reality star shared clips of Kanye West and Taylor Swift’s controversial phone call regarding his song “Famous.”
In the latest episode of E!’s hit reality series, Kim called out Taylor for playing the victim once again in response to her husband’s song. Sisters Khloe and Kourtney were seen watching the video but it was never seen nor heard on the episode.
Before the episode ended, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch Kris Jenner advised Kim that she should just talk to Taylor and settle it to which the 35-year-old reality star said that she will not be taking her mom’s advice.
Kardashian released a series of short clips on Snapchat of her husband and the “Blank Space” singer discussing the lyrics to his controversial song. Kim even teased her fan on Twitter that they should follow her on Snapchat minutes before uploading the clips.
In the Snapchat story, Kanye can be heard reciting the lyrics to Taylor and Taylor responding very positively towards about it. The “Wildest Dreams” songstress even thanked the “Love Lockdown” rapper for calling her and informing her about it.
Swift was even heard joking that if they ask her about the controversial song, she will tell them that Kanye called her about it, she knows about it and they’re good.
Legendary producer Rick Rubin can also be seen in the clips. Presumably, the videos were taken before Kanye released his album “The Life of Pablo.”
Following West’s release of the song, a representative for Swift released a statement denying reports that she had approved the lyric. The representative said that Taylor cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong and misogynistic message.
Last month, Kim told GQ that Swift had signed off the controversial line and there was video footage of the exchange. It wasn’t until the topic was brought about in Sunday’s episode of their reality show that all hell broke loose.
A few hours after Kim dropped the clips, Swift took to Instagram a lengthy message. The “Style” singer has accused West of character assassination and insisted that she never heard the full song before it was released particularly a line where she was called a bitch.
Just a few moments after this major internet battle, Twitter went into meltdown as fans had the best reactions to #KimExposedTaylorParty. The hashtag went on to be the top trending topic worldwide for more than 24 hours.
Some fans have noted that it all started when Beyonce lost to Taylor Swift during 2009’s VMA. Kanye went on stage as Taylor was receiving her award for Song of the Year and took the spotlight from her speaking that Queen Bey’s “Single Ladies” deserved the award.
Fans have slammed Swift particularly with the snake emoji and memes about the death of her career. Swifties were quick to defend Taylor claiming that what Kim did was illegal. Stars have come to the aid of both parties after everything exploded.
Chloe Grace Moretz, who also had a feud with Kim a few months ago, tweeted that people should not waste their time on something unimportant and petulant.
Khloe Kardashian was then quick to defend her sister against the “Carrie” actress. Taylor’s BFF, Selena Gomez spoke out in support of her friend and received a major online backlash.
A hashtag #SelenaGomezIsOverParty also went trending with many users claiming that Selena should just have kept her mouth shut over the matter.
Kylie Jenner also threw shade at Taylor through her cosmetic line. A few hours after everything came out, the Lip Kit mogul released three new shades of her lipstick line, with one of them named ‘Exposed.’
