The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, the Korean tech giant’s flagship tablet came out in September of last year, the features of which have really put the pressure on Apple to come out with the widely-talked about iPad Pro some two months later.
Then in March this year, the American tech giant followed it up with the groundbreaking iPad Pro 9.7in, which has somewhat erased the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 from the tablet picture, particularly in the US.
There have been reports that Samsung wanted to bounce back in the tablet segment that it was planning to launch its latest flagship tablet this month. In fact, the rumors were actually saying that the launching would happen on July 15 or a few days from now.
Given the proximity of the date and there is nary a report of an invitation or anything at all from Samsung, it seems that the July15 unveiling of the Galaxy Tab S3 is not true at all.
But according to the latest rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 shall come out in September this year, which is just right since its predecessor would have completed its customary one-year market cycle by then.
Loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat
The most interesting of that launching rumor is that the Galaxy Tab S3 shall already come out in September already loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest Google mobile operating software.
According to the latest reports, the Android Nougat shall come with the power to make instant replies to messages, which can be achieved by going to the notification window or through the multi-window, details the Ecumenical News.
In addition to the new and improved advancements, the Nougat shall also feature the Doze-to-go which would ensure that the battery will remain as is when the tablet is not being used.
This also means that the Android 7.0 Nougat shall be launched by Google either in August or early in September, but thus far, the American software giant has yet to make an announcement regarding the launching of the successor to the Android Marshmallow.
Launching with other devices
As regards the features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, the upcoming flagship tablet from the Korean tech giant shall reportedly have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor under the hood, an internal storage option of 32GB or 64GB, and shall have a 3GB of RAM. It shall also have a microSD card slot to allow for storage expansion.
There are also reports saying that the Galaxy Tab S3 might come out in September along with other flagship devices, which could be a reference to the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus more than any gadget from Samsung, notes the MNR Daily.
As to the external appearance of the Galaxy Tab S3, there has been a recent leak courtesy of renowned tipster Evan Blass who posted an image of the tablet on his Twitter account. But the photo was widely criticized for being a fake because of several details that seem not to match at all.
What seems certain at this point is that the Galaxy Tab S3 shall come out better than its predecessor in terms of design and features.
According to previous reports, the Galaxy Tab S3 shall come out with two variants – an 8-inch model and a 9.7-inch edition, similar to the sizes of an iPad mini and an iPad.
The different variants came out after Chinese regulatory website FCC and TEENA posted the hardware specifications of the device, which included an AMOLED display with a 1536 x 2048 screen resolution.
The Galaxy Tab S3 shall also be powered by a generous 4,000 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, points out the Christian Daily.
