‘Suits’ Season 6 to Feature Mike Ross Having a Huge Target on His Back in Prison!

From being a familiar courtroom figure, Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, will be going into the biggest trial of his life inside Danbury Prison when Season 6 of the American legal drama TV series “Suits” officially returns to the USA Network on July 13.

Just like anybody who will be incarcerated for the first time, Mike will find prison life a difficult one but he has no recourse but to accept his fate. Since he did the crime, he has agreed to do the time too, notes TV Line.

Previous reports have been saying that the Season 6 premiere episode of “Suits” shall feature Mike on his first night in jail. The official trailer seems to have confirmed the reports already.

Given his natural flair for talking and convincing people, Mike will move to forge bonds with some of the prison inmates. There are even reports saying that he will be dropping some famous movie references in the process.

However, there are also some reports saying that Mike will actually be in danger at some point in prison as he will have a huge target on his back in jail. It is probably because he is the newest inmate in prison or it is also possible that he will be meeting in prison some inmates whom he also put in jail while he was still a lawyer for Pearson Specter Litt law firm, details TV Guide.

A brand new direction

In a recent interview with Patrick J. Adams, he said that Season 6 of “Suits” is a bold and scary step for the writers of the show to take.

The actor said that because of the incarceration of his character in the popular TV series, it has taken “Suits” in a brand new direction.

Adams said that he would not even fault people for saying that “Suits” is going to be a whole new series in its upcoming Season 6 because the jail setting would certainly push Mike to his breaking point.

Patrick J. Adams also revealed that Mike Ross is going to be tested more than ever in the upcoming sixth season in addition to the fact that there would be new characters, new interactions, new relationships, and new threats.

Over at the Pearson Specter Litt, Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, will really feel guilty for what happened to their law firm after a lawsuit has driven out all its employees to flee and do not want anything to do with the firm at all.

The challenge for Harvey in the upcoming season is how would he rebuild the law firm and keep the seat warm until Mike completes his two-year sentence and the two of them work to restore its greatness.

Not the show’s last

The first official trailer for Season 6 of “Suits” has already been released by the USA Network last month and it showed Mike checking himself into prison.

It then proceeds to a series of flashbacks showing significant events of Mike’s life going backward in time, going as far back as showing his first meeting with Harvey and the decision he made which started the whole legal charade and fraud.

Fans and critics of “Suits” believe that the trailer is very meaningful because it validates the need for Mike to face the consequences of his past decisions and actions, no matter how long it has been.

Towards the end of the trailer, Mike finally realized the folly of his past and he would be trading his expensive tailored suits for a prison uniform.

There have been rumors going around that Season 6 of “Suits” could possibly be the last for the popular show.

But showrunner Aaron Korsh was quick to douse cold water on such speculations when he said in a recent interview that he is highly doubtful that Season 6 would be the last for the show.

Apparently, the basis of the rumors is the fact that “Suits” has yet to be renewed for Season 7 which seems like some fans are getting way ahead of themselves especially in light of the fact that Season 6 has yet to return to the small screen.
