When it comes to selling Subaru models in the United States, there are two models that car dealerships wish they had more of to sell. The Subaru WRX and WRX STI models are selling so well in the United States this year that dealerships are hoping that in 2015 there will be more to get their hands on. All throughout November, Subaru’s were selling very quickly and actually accounted for a 23% increase over the sales numbers that were reported back in November of 2013.
This year has been the best in terms of sales for the company located in Japan, according to Subaru of America (SOA). November also saw an record number of consumers ordering the 2015 Subaru WRX/STI models and they are willing to wait months before they even get to see their performance sedans on the lot. Dealers are hoping they can get more to sell since this year was so hot in terms of the overall sales that accounted for more than 45,000 vehicles.
SOA reported that the sales for this year have been the best since 2003. Year to date, more than 20,000 WRX/STI models have sold in the United States. The same is going for Subaru lovers that live in Canada. According to records from the Subaru Canada, Inc, the sales of the 2015 WRX/STI went up this November more than 26% compared to last November. Subaru models have always been good sellers in Canada. During the final round of the Canadian Rally Championship, 5 Subaru models placed in the top 10 boosting sales all over the country.
Even though Subaru lovers have to wait months for their performance rally style cars to arrive, it has not affected sales in any negative ways. In fact, the numbers are climbing as the demand for the performance sedans increases with each month leading up to the official release of the new 2015 models. The two models that are currently announced have already led to an increase in sales, so many are wondering what will happen when the hatchback model will be released.
The Subaru WRX/STI has been labeled as one of the best selling cars for this year, which many are surprised by mainly because most popular sports cars are ones that have two seats, two doors and are powered by rear-wheel drive. When the Maxima showed up with four doors, many analysts had a problem calling it a sports car. Now we are looking at the four door Subaru WRX/STI and cannot believe that a sports car CAN have 4 doors.
