American game developer Valve Corporation has yet to make an official statement or pronouncement regarding the development of the highly-anticipated multiplayer zombie shooter video game “Left 4 Dead 3” but rumors are getting louder and louder that the game might come out to the gaming consoles next year.
There have been rumors before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 held in Los Angeles, California last week that the game might be unveiled by Valve in the event. It turns out that the rumors are not true as both the game and Valve Corporation were no-shows during the event.
According to the latest speculations, Valve has set aside the development work for its other highly-anticipated horror-survival first-person shooter video game “Half-Life 3” to be able to focus on the development work and completion of “Left 4 Dead 3,” notes Yibada.
Its predecessor game, “Left 4 Dead 2” was released way back in 2009 so having a new iteration eight years later is just about right, although given today’s modern technology, it is almost like an eternity in gaming development.
While not much detail have been made available regarding the “Left 4 Dead 3,” some are speculating that Valve may follow the approach and strategies that it employed with the development of the first two games of the franchise.
To come out early next year?
While Valve has not said anything official, there are rumors saying that “Left 4 Dead 3” could actually come out on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One early next year, notes the Christian Today.
The speculations were based on the assumption that Valve needed to release “Left 4 Dead 3” early next year so that it shall have sufficient time to work on and subsequently released “Half-Life 3” in 2018.
Assuming that there is some semblance of truth to such rumors, if Valve shall make the release date of “Left 4 Dead 3” in the second half of 2017, the game development company will be pressed for time and under pressure to develop and come out with “Half-Life 3” the following year.
According to speculations, “Left 4 Dead 3” will not just introduce new characters, maps, and player maximum capacity, it shall also feature faster and nastier enemy zombies compared to the two previous installments of the game.
Apparently, the new enemy zombies shall make the game more exciting, albeit scary too. However, Valve Corporation has yet to confirm this rumored new feature of the game that had fans of “Left 4 Dead 3” excited with delight for the coming of the game soon, if not sooner.
Have gone separate ways
While Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios have parted ways after the release of “Left 4 Dead 2,” there are still rumors going around insisting that the latter appears to be involved in the development of the third installment of the franchise.
Turtle Rock Studios recently posted a job opening for an animation programmer on its website giving fans an allusion that the game development company is working on “Left 4 Dead 3.”
But Turtle Rock Studios founder Phil Robb quashed those rumors when he said that “Left 4 Dead 3” is all Valve Corporation now and Turtle Rock is no longer involve with its development. He said that the only time that they will come back for “Left 4 Dead 3” is as fans and gamers but no longer as co-developers.
What is clear at this point is that “Left 4 Dead 3” shall no longer be a collaborative undertaking between Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios like the first two games of the franchise.
It was also previously reported that “Left 4 Dead 3” already has a story, characters, and also new types of zombies that would make the final product really great.
