After being silent for nearly two years about the rumored 2016 Ford Bronco, Ford Motor Company has already spoken in February to say that it would be releasing four SUVs in the next four years.
One of those four SUVs could be the Ford Bronco but it only proves that there will be no version of the truck this year. With that being said, it is clear that the 2016 Ford Bronco is just a myth, a viral topic worth discussing all over again on the internet because it is the Bronco, notes Mycars2016.
As it is, Ford Motor Company has said that it is likely to release the Bronco in 2020. Still, that does not stop people online from speculating that there will be a 2017 Ford Bronco, or a 2018 Ford Bronco, or a 2019 Ford Bronco.
Even before the 2016 Ford Bronco officially made it to the rumor mills on April 1, 2014, a Ford Bronco concept was already showcased by the American carmaker at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit back in 2004.
Back then, it was shown that the new Bronco might be built on the same platform as the Ford F-150 pickup trucks. However, speculations back then were that Ford is likely to use aluminum which would make the Bronco quite light in weight.
Picking up from the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors
Now that the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors are almost passé, the 2017 Ford Bronco speculations appear to be picking up the slack.
In fact, the same rumored specifications and features for the 2016 Ford Bronco by a number of websites are now being brandished by the rumored 2017 Ford Bronco in almost the same number of websites.
As a matter of fact, Frog Cars’ description of the exterior appearance of the 2017 Ford Bronco is exactly the same as the 2016 Ford Bronco in other websites. Interestingly, one of the many common denominators of the two in the news cite the vehicle’s massive chrome grille, with two pairs of LED headlights, and advance fog lights.
Even the type of engines and the prices are identical, which only prove that the 2017 Ford Bronco, just like the 2016 Ford Bronco, is another internet myth, not worthy to be taken seriously at all.
It could be the work of trolls to keep the Bronco in circulation online until Ford has something official to say yet again about its iconic truck brand.
But then, trolling has its limits and the possibility of people getting sick and tired of false information may eventually backfire on such promotional strategy.
Done and over with
With the advent of the month of June, it is now clear that the rumors about the 2016 Ford Bronco are just plain rumors and nothing more.
It would be foolhardy for Ford Motor Company or for any car manufacturer worth its salt to release a 2016 model in the middle of the year and now that it is already June, the speculations about the 2016 Ford Bronco is almost done with.
Interestingly, with the expected demise of the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors, speculations on the 2017 Ford Bronco have started picking up online and it seems that it would run until Ford finally announces when the latest generation of the Bronco would come out.
The 2017 Ford Bronco is one of the most highly-anticipated SUVs to look forward to from the American car manufacturer after it stopped production of the iconic brand back in 1996.
The SUV shall reportedly be utilizing the same chassis that was used to build the Ford F-150 but there are also reports saying that it would utilize the Atlas concept model.
