“GTA 5” came out not long ago, and the game has been enjoying great success, despite having certain shortcomings which Rockstar have been working hard to address. For the most part, fans have been quite happy with how the game has turned out, and most have been praising the vast, open world, as well as the exciting new multiplayer features. Now, Rockstar are gearing up for the release of new downloadable content for the game, adding the long-awaited “Heists” feature to the multiplayer. While not much was known about the update officially until now, a recent leak has shed some light on what fans can expect to see when it’s released.
Apparently, the new update features a “Cops n Crooks” mode, which seems to be the official name for the “Heists” feature. The update also seems to contain special Christmas goodies, judging by strings found in some text files, which point towards Christmas clothing and other bonus content.
This also seems to indicate that snowy weather is coming back to the game, along with a proper selection of clothes for characters to wear in that environment. Fans have been asking for a similar feature for quite a while now, and it’s nice to see Rockstar are finally responding to those requests.
A further leak shows the “Country Bank Heist” scenario, in which characters have to rob a bank in a rural environment, equipped with ballistic armor. It will be a full-blown heist, complete with some serious action, and will allow up to 20 players to play simultaneously, split between 16 cops and 4 criminals.
Despite the fact that the game was successful for the most part, fans still noted that it was missing some of the features which Rockstar were advertising very heavily before its release. Many players were disappointed to find out that they would have to wait a little longer before they can execute heists with their friends and other players, while others noted that the implementation of the financial system wasn’t very successful, as the game lacked a proper balance in this department.
For the most part, players reported running into a situation where they have large amounts of money and nothing to spend it on, although Rockstar have tried to remedy this situation by releasing new content that can be purchased with in-game money. Properties seem to be the most active “money sink” for the time being, although most players are just taking up the approach of accumulating as much as they comfortably can. Others just disregard the financial aspect altogether and play the game primarily to drive around and engage in fights with random players.
