As if having four wives isn’t enough, rumors are rife that Kody Brown is looking for a new and younger wife for the seventh season of “Sister Wives.”
Hollywood Life says that Brown has been searching for a year already and that he’s looking for someone who is much younger than him or his other wives, someone thin, and attractive.
According to reports, the reason that Kody is intent on finding a new wife may be spurred not by Meri’s recent catfishing scandal but because he wants to cash in more money from the show and the network.
Speculations say that finding wife number 5 will definitely add more drama in the Brown household thus may amp the possibility of TLC renewing the controversial reality series for another season because of audience reception.
TLC has not yet given an official statement regarding these rumors but with the reception of fans towards the show, it looks like the polygamous family will likely stay on the air for more seasons.
Currently, Kody has four wives, 45-year-old Meri, 47-year-old Janelle, 44-year-old Christine, and 37-year-old Robyn. Last season, fans saw Meri divorced Kodi so that he can marry Robyn and legally adopt her children.
Meanwhile, in light of the catfishing scandal that was probably the highlight of last season, Meri finally opens up about it.
In an exclusive interview with People, Meri confessed that she had an affair with someone she knew as Sam Cooper. Things escalate to the point that Sam told Meri that he loves her, but Meri reveals that she’s already married.
Apparently, the person she met online was not a man, but a woman and a con-artist named Jackie Overton.
This season will see Meri open up and share more details on what really went down on her online affair, as well as how she has been trying to gain back the trust of Kody and the rest of the wives.
The Ecumenical News reports that though Meri already aired her apologies towards her sister wives, husband, and children, it’s too apparent that the family is still greatly affected by her wrong decision in the past.
Kody and Meri’s daughter, Mariah, has been making her mother feel that she isn’t happy about what she did. Reports say that Mariah is truly disappointed with her mother and that she needs more time to accept her back once again.
For the most part, Meri has been trying to take the extra mile in terms of gaining back her family’s trust, but it seems the road to recovery will be long and hard, most especially for her own child.
In an exclusive clip shared by People, Meri recalls that she sounded like a guy with a southern accent. She was very flirty with her and that they laughed a lot. She adds that it was easy to connect with her because they just had so much in common.
Meanwhile, Maddie Brown, Kody and Janelle’s second child just tied the knot with Caleb Brush in an intimate Bohemian-theme outdoor ceremony. The bride’s father officiated the wedding.
Maddie reveals that while she grew up in a polygamous household, she and some of her 16 siblings would rather stick to monogamous relationships.
In the most recent episode, the Browns showed bits of the family’s preparation for the newest addition to their family, Robyn and Kody’s daughter Ariella Mae. The episode was filmed earlier this year as Ariella was born on January 10.
The episode highly centered on Kody talking about the difficulties of Robyn’s recent pregnancy. Brown revealed that at the time of the filming, Robyn was already close to giving birth.
Mariah has become a beautiful woman. Though no fault of her own, people and life have not been treating her well. Her mother and father have both done unwise things that have come back to hurt Mariah. Then there are the people she thought she could count on, but found out she couldn’t.
Is Kody getting a new wife? I don’t know. There are plenty of rumours flying around about a young single mother from Utah who wants to join the family. They say where there is smoke, there’s fire. I just hope he treats her better than he has his other wives.
