‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6 will Continue Filming With or Without the Recently-Injured Dylan O’Brien!

Season 6 of the American supernatural teen drama TV series “Teen Wolf” is now in production and it seems like the producers and showrunner have hit a wall on the situation of regular cast member Dylan O’Brien, who plays fan-favorite Stiles Stilinski in the show.

Dylan O’Brien apparently sustained injuries while he was filming in March a vehicular stunt scene for the movie “Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure.”

The injuries were so serious that the actor needed time to recover, which is the reason why O’Brien cannot do filming until this time for “Teen Wolf” where he happens to be a series regular, notes the Christian Times.

Because of the serious injuries to O’Brien, the production of “Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure” has been put on hold. But Season 6 of “Teen Wolf” does not enjoy the same luxury which is why series creator Jeff Davis said that they will continue to shoot with or without O’Brien.

Like the producers, the writers, and the cast members, Davis believes that the show must go on even without O’Brien and it would all be up to the actor if he wants to take on the role of Stiles Stilinski for Season 6.

Exploring a new mythology

Davis also explained that the sixth season will feature a new mythology and he hopes to have a satisfying twist for the viewers.

The showrunner said that the potential theme and feel of “Teen Wolf” Season 6 will be like a psychological thriller that would also come out like a ghost story.

Consistent with the Season 5 cliffhanger, the sixth season of the TV series shall see the involvement of the Nazi werewolf which is expected to be the big bad for the upcoming season.

Davis also added that the storylines of Season 6 shall focus more deeply on the personal relationships of characters in “Teen Wolf” but the showrunner refuses to elaborate.

The return of the lycanthrope spooker

Meanwhile, actress Melissa McCall, who plays Melissa Ponzion in “Teen Wolf” recently hinted on social media that Scott McCall, played by Tyler Posey, and his group shall be preparing for the return of the lycanthrope spooker, reports The Bitbag.

The actress alluded that the scene would happen in episode 8 of Season 6 of “Teen Wolf.” McCall’s hint was also confirmed by writer Will Wallace.

Based on the hints of Melissa, episode 8 will feature the group of Scott along with the other antagonists such as the ghost riders and Nazi werewolves which are sure to give the show more excitement and action.

Wallace added to the hint of McCall by saying that the dialogue in the forthcoming show is very emotional and even devastating. He stressed to the fans that he can’t give any details yet as far as the series is concerned and wants to let the audience find out the thrill themselves.

Scott McCall has never been lucky in love in “Teen Wolf” on MTV.

Back in Season 3, his girlfriend Allison, played by Crystal Reed, died in his arms. In the recently-completed Season 5 of “Teen Wolf,” Scott seemed to have found a new leading lady in Kira, played by Arden Cho.

Teen Wolf Season 5

But during the Season 5 finale, Kira was seen heading to the desert to join the Skin Walkers in hopes of controlling her kitsune powers. Her decision also meant that she is leaving her boyfriend Scott behind and all her other friends in Beacon Hills.

Unfortunately, Arden Cho will no longer be returning for Season 6 of “Teen Wolf” when it premieres on MTV next month. That certainly quashed fan hopes that Scott will finally get his fresh beginning on love.
