Following reports last month that the multiplayer zombie shooter video game “Left 4 Dead 3” might be announced or officially unveiled by American game developer Valve Corporation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 slated at Los Angeles in less than two weeks time, rumors are now swirling that the game may have something new under its sleeve.
According to speculations, “Left 4 Dead 3” will not just introduce new characters, maps, and player maximum capacity, it shall also feature faster and nastier enemy zombies compared to the two previous installments of the game, reports the University Herald.
Apparently, the new enemy zombies shall make the game more exciting, albeit scary too. However, Valve Corporation has yet to confirm this rumored new feature of the game that had fans of “Left 4 Dead 3” excited with delight for the coming of the game soon, if not sooner.
No longer a collaborative undertaking
While Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios have parted ways after the release of “Left 4 Dead 2,” there are still rumors going around insisting that the latter appears to be involved in the development of the third installment of the franchise.
Turtle Rock Studios recently posted an opening for an animation programmer on its website giving fans an allusion that the game development company is working on “Left 4 Dead 3.”
But Turtle Rock Studios founder Phil Robb quashed those rumors when he said that “Left 4 Dead 3” is now all Valve Corporation and they are no longer involve with its development. He said that the only time that they will come back for “Left 4 Dead 3” is as fans and gamers but no longer as co-developers.
What is clear at this point is that “Left 4 Dead 3” shall no longer be a collaborative undertaking between Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios.
It was also previously reported that “Left 4 Dead 3” already has a story, characters, and also new types of zombies that would make the final product really great, reports the Christian Today.
A strong possibility
The launching of “Left 4 Dead 3” at the E3 2016 became a strong possibility since the speculations are rife that the game could be released on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in 2017.
The rumors have been consistent in saying that “Left 4 Dead 3” shall come out next year to be followed by the horror survival first-person shooter video game “Half-Life 3,” which is the other highly anticipated game in the stable of Valve Corporation.
However, since Valve is not saying anything at all regarding the game, all these remain as speculations.
Meanwhile, fans of “Half-Life 3” are a bit disappointed that Valve Corporation is concentrating more on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3” rather than the latest installment of their favorite video game franchise.
Valve’s prioritization is actually based on a solid premise that its online multiplayer games have been reaping big dividends more than its single-player video games. So putting a priority on the development of “Left 4 Dead 3” over “Half-Life 3” makes sense.
Reports also have it that Valve Corporation is now working hard on the development of the “Left 4 Dead 3” and that it is looking at coming up with fresh material and new interesting characters for the third installment of the very popular video game franchise.
The speculations over “Left 4 Dead 3” were actually fanned further by former Valve employee Minh Le, who goes by the name of Gooseman. In a previous interview, he confirmed that the game development company is hard at work on “Left 4 Dead 3.”
It is also expected that when the game finally comes out in the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC, it will feature a lot of innovation including better graphics and higher technologies to.
According to reports, after the possible launching of the game at the E3 2016, Valve may officially release it to the gaming consoles next year.
