After the crossover rumor between “Frozen” and “Tangled” which said that Rapunzel is actually the sister of Elsa and that Anna is only their half-sister, another absurd rumor just came out of almost nowhere.
According to some supposed reports, the parents of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna did not die in the boat as stated in “Frozen,” they were actually shipwrecked and they ended up in a jungle. That’s when the queen of Arendelle gave birth to a son before she and her husband were eaten by a leopard, details Game N Guide.
Somehow, the rumors made the connection between “Frozen” and “Tarzan” which make it actually far-fetched from reality, although given that both are fiction and are products of Disney, everything is possible.
The plot thickens although it seems that it is getting more and more difficult to digest for the average fans just waiting for news about the sequel to the most successful animated film in history.
Incidentally, a live-action movie on Tarzan titled “The Legend of Tarzan” produced by Warner Bros is about to hit theaters on July 1 so these new round of rumors about the King of the Jungle being the long lost brother of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna is probably meant to add hype to the upcoming movie.
Both Disney or co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee have yet to comment on this rather wild rumor so this ultimately joins the bunch of speculations regarding the possible plotlines for “Frozen 2.”
A lesbian Queen Elsa
The rumors about a gay Queen Elsa has made the rounds since last year but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
It appears that this speculation was brought about by the recent clamor of some pro-LGBT activists to have an increased gay representation in Hollywood films.
Since “Frozen” is a very popular movie and is always a trending topic on the internet, some advocates decided to include the movie into their cause.
But knowing Disney, exploring the concept of lesbianism or LGBT per se in an animated film seems an awkward thing to do. As an entertainment conglomerate, the company still believes in the same old fairy tale stuff from storybooks and less on what is going on in the world today.
In addition, a homosexual rebranding of Queen Elsa would compromise the so-called family-oriented values that the film intends to teach to children, notes News Everyday.
A magical attraction in Norway
While nearly everyone else waiting for the sequel of the most successful animated film in history, “Frozen,” are speculating about the plotlines and new characters, Disneyland has unveiled a new “Frozen”-themed magical attraction at the “Frozen” theme park in Norway.
The two main attractions are the Royal Sommerhus, where kids can meet with Elsa and Anna; and the Frozen Ever After ride, which will feature more “Frozen” characters.
According to Lauren Niederhiser, Disney’s Imagineering assistant project manager, explained that the new “Frozen” theme park will be an extension of the Norway Pavilion.
She added that now that true love has conquered all, they were able to open up the summer cabin, invite guests in, and it shall be where Anna and Elsa will meet them.
The “Frozen” theme park in Norway along with the reported “Frozen” Broadway musical to debut next year will certainly heighten the excitement for “Frozen 2” which shall hit theaters in 2018.
In addition to these major promotional endeavors, there are also reports that Disney is planning to have a “Frozen” Holiday Special this coming December to be aired on ABC.
The show does not have an official title yet, but what seems to be confirmed is its release date later this year. According to reports, lead characters of “Frozen” have already signed up for the “Frozen” Holiday Special.
There are also a new round of rumors regarding the characters for “Frozen 2” and given that the “Huntsman: Winter’s War” has just been released in theaters, speculations are rife that actress Emily Blunt will be taken in as a character in the sequel lend her voice for Elsa’s real sister.
