A lot’s planned for the sixth season of “The Vampire Diaries” – even though the season has been described as the best one so far by many fans, it seems that the show’s producers have even more coming up, and have prepared some very exciting events which should start unfolding over the next episodes, probably starting with the very next one.
It’s not known exactly what the producers have planned for the remaining episodes of the season, but considering that they have already finished production of most (if not all) of them, there are lots of rumors about the upcoming storylines – as one would expect. And while it’s hard to tell apart the plausible sounding ones from the rest, some rumors have been popping up more commonly than others.
It appears that Bonnie and Damon might fall in love with each other at some point during the season, which many fans have been expecting for some time now. The relationship between the characters is a classic “hot and cold” one, and it’s certainly been interesting to watch it develop – and from what Carter Matt has said to the show’s fans, this relationship might become even stronger in the coming episodes. The way the show’s writers have been handling the closer relationships between certain characters has been the subject of a lot of praise, both from critics and fans, as it’s not the typical approach that most shows take, and it’s been noted as looking at human relationships more realistically.
A likely turn of events may see Liv and Tyler coming closer together as well, although in a different context. The two have already been showing a strong bond, especially after Liv protected Tyler and he learned about her past, deciding that he wants to be there for her in the future. This particular piece of news has had lots of fans very excited, as Liv and Tyler’s relationship has been one of the more interesting parts of season 6 so far, and seeing it get even deeper would be pleasing for many.
Not all that’s planned for the rest of the season if happiness and sunshine though, as the producers have hinted at various dramatic events that will unfold before the season is over. This is to be expected, given the show’s past, and the writers’ tendency to mix beautiful moments with tragic ones. It’s not known exactly what kinds of difficulties the characters will have to face now, but it’s expected that as the season comes closer to its conclusion, something very dramatic will unfold, possibly changing the entire course of the story for the future of the show.
