Season 7 of the American supernatural drama TV series “The Vampire Diaries” on The CW only has three episodes remaining and its season finale is going to air on May 13.
Episode 20 is set to air on April 29 and based on its title alone “Kill ‘Em All,” it seems to be one hell of a bloody episode.
However, what seems to be the talk-of-the-town among the loyal viewers and fans of “The Vampire Diaries” these days is still the 19th episode that aired on April 22.
The TV series gave fans and viewers a romantic treat in episode 19 of “The Vampire Diaries” when they learned more about the origins of the ‘Benzo’ romance or that of Bonnie and Enzo, notes TV Fanatic.
While some fans found it surprising to see Bonnie falling for Enzo since they actually don’t have the chemistry and the sparks, the flashbacks during the episode showed how great their relationship was and has become.
Bonnie obviously deserves someone in her life who can be there for her when she needs him and she cannot have that with Jeremy Gilbert all of her life because that would be boring. It all started when Enzo whisked her away to safety from the hands of the Armory.
Raising the hopes for ‘Steroline’ fans
The scenes in episode 19, titled “Somebody That I Used to Know,” that featured Alaric and Stefan were pretty good but Alaric seems to be caught up with the finer details on why Stefan disappeared a few years ago.
The episode also raised the hopes of ‘Steroline’ fans especially when it showed that Caroline and Alaric are not sleeping in the same bedroom together. Because of how heavy he felt with Stefan for turning his back on Caroline some years ago, Alaric could not help but punch him.
However, Alaric also stepped back a bit and let Caroline and Stefan sort out their relationship with one another.
Episode 19 was a sort of redemption for “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 compared to episode 18 which was considered by many as the show’s low point. Fans have also started getting somewhere with the whole world Armory plot, but a lot of the characters seem to be acting a little out of character that seems to be affecting the dynamics of the TV show.
Two years to develop
Incidentally, the relationship of Bonnie and Enzo actually took two years to develop and it was only during the episode 19 that viewers finally got to see how the two had this special craving for one another and getting into each other’s skin.
The flashbacks showed how Bonnie and Enzo fell in love and it felt fun, cozy, and even touching for the viewers, cites TV.com.
The episode actually began three years ago when Bonnie had to clean out her dorm room because her two other roommates were either dead or have become suburban mothers. While packing up her sad cardboard box, she found Damon’s letter where he said goodbye forever to her face.
All of a sudden, Enzo showed up to save Bonnie from a couple of Armory goons that had arrive to kidnap her.
But even though Enzo just saved Bonnie from the Armory, he still needed to inject her with a serum that leeched all of her magic and made her pass out like she has been drugged. Bonnie later woke up in a creepy cabin and tried to do magic and couldn’t. Then Enzo explained that if she had magic then, the Armory could track her and she should definitely take some pills made of blood.
Fast forward to modern times where Bonnie and Enzo are shown hugging a lot, indicating that their relationship has become stronger after three years.
“The Vampire Diaries” is currently on its seventh season but The CW has already renewed it for its Season 8 beginning in the latter part of this year.
However, there have been reports as of late that “The Vampire Diaries” may only be good for eight seasons and that its Season 8 is going to be the hit show’s swan song.

They should continue the show even after season 8 with bonnie and enzo. Their chemistry is off the chart. They alone can the the show to new level. The brothers storyline has fallen.
