Sister Wives Season 7 to Feature the Polygamous Brown Family Facing a Rough Road Ahead in Light of Meri’s Catfishing Scandal!

When the TLC network released recently the official trailer for Season 7 of the American reality TV series “Sister Wives,” it also quashed previous rumors that the show will no longer have a seventh season because it seems headed for cancellation.

The cancellation rumors started swirling when the three spiritual wives of the polygamous Brown family expressed their intentions to leave patriarch Kody for good.

There were even reports then saying that each of the three spiritual wives already has their respective one foot out of the door of the polygamist set-up since Kody is spending more of his time with his fourth but married wife Robyn Sullivan.

Meri was said to have decided to leave Kody for good after she was caught catfishing late last year and it turned out that the ploy was an attempt of a woman to pry as much information from the polygamist Brown family as possible.

There was also Janelle who seems to be enjoying her work already as a realtor that she was already ready to leave Kody and the polygamous family.

But all those speculations are now water under the bridge as Season 7 of “Sister Wives” is now a go and it will premiere on TLC on May 8.

Dealing with Meri’s catfishing scandal

However, while the Brown family will still be complete, the trailer showed that they are in for a rough road ahead as they continue to face the challenges of their tricky polygamous marriage, reports Enstarz.

The teaser showed the Brown family working together and learning to cope with Meri’s catfishing scandal as it continues to unfold and shed some light on how things really have been for all of them.

The catfishing scandal grew even deeper when Meri learned that the man she started to fall in love with online was actually not a man but a woman impersonating one. Apparently, Meri was being catfished by a woman named Jackie Overton, details the Inquisitr.

During an interview with Tamron Hall of TLC, Meri revealed that Overton used photos of an actor to trick her into thinking she was a man named Samuel Jacob Cooper. When Tamron asked her if something physical ever happened between her and Cooper and she said no, which showed Kody having a visible sigh of relief.

It seems that the drama could be at its most intense point as the family seems to be having a difficult time getting past the emotional affair of Meri.

But Meri will have to appease not only Kody or her three fellow wives but more importantly her daughter Mariah. Apparently, Meri and Mariah are not in good terms as shown in the trailer. Mariah admitted that she and her mom are not on super great terms as shown in the trailer.

It seems that everything that happened to her mother has taken an emotional toll on Mariah and Meri not talking her does not help her daughter get a great handle on things.

Upset and extremely angry

Robyn seems to be very upset and extremely angry over the whole catfishing scandal. While she and Meri used to be the best of friends on most of the things in the past, it seems that it is no longer the case in Season 7.

Christine was then shown saying that Robyn is mad because she felt betrayed. But Meri’s biggest problem is with Kody who admitted that she and Meri have struggled for a very long time.

Meri was also quoted as saying that there were times that she was very angry at Kody. It appears to be a stressful situation for Season 7 of “Sister Wives” right off the bat and viewers can only wait with bated breaths for its premiere episode.

The Brown family has publicly supported Meri since the catfishing scandal but many viewers believe that the purpose of such support is to keep the income of the show.

  1. Please TLC don’t show us robyn’s labor, seeing a healthy baby is all we need. Stop blaming meri for being catfished, if she was getting milk at home she wouldn’t have to buy it off the internet. I hope that maria isn’t made at her mom…..walk a mile in her shoes!!
