The American supernatural drama TV series “Teen Wolf” on MTV has been renewed for Season 6 even before its fifth season came to a wrap a few weeks ago. However, there were rumors saying that Season 6 is going to be the last for the show.
The speculations started swirling when reports came out that the upcoming Season 6 of “Teen Wolf,” which is already set to premiere on July 9, will see Scott, played by Tyler Posey; Stiles, played by Dylan O’Brien; and the rest of the older members of the pack graduating from the show.
It was also reported recently that Arden Cho, who plays Kira Yukimura in “Teen Wolf” shall no longer be returning for Season 6.
As such, critics are thinking that it is going to be the end as well for the series. However, there are also reports saying that the story may continue as Liam, played by Dylan Sprayberry, is already being groomed to become the next Teen Wolf, notes the Parent Herald.
More stories to tell
Executive producer Jeff Davis said that there are more stories to tell after Season 6 of “Teen Wolf,” alluding or wishing that the upcoming season is not going to be the last for the popular show.
He said that if the show still has life and there are still stories to tell, it would really be great to go on. He also hinted that Dylan Sprayberry shall take over the role of Teen Wolf even as Tyler Posey moves into the role played by Derek Hale, portrayed in the series by Tyler Hoechlin.
Meanwhile, actor Tyler Posey in a recent interview said that the cast members are already filming the third episode of “Teen Wolf” Season 6. But he refused to give details about the upcoming season, only hinting that it will continue to explore new and exciting mythology.
Posey added that “Teen Wolf” Season 5 tried to push the envelope and did something creative that the show has never done before. They are going to do that again in Season 6, he offered.
Returning characters
With “Teen Wolf” Season 6 already in production for its third episode, it has been reported recently that Peter Hale, played in the series by Ian Bohen, will be returning to Beacon Hills.
According to reports, Hale will be seen in either the first or second episode of “Teen Wolf” Season 6. This early, fans are already looking forward to the character’s exciting return to the storyline as well as his impact on the other characters of the show.
In addition, Theo will also make a comeback in the third episode, which would be his redemption story. According to rumors, Theo will return from hell as a person who manifested change and also gotten a new level of strength after managing to survive and escaping the realm.
Amid the return of two new characters, Arden Cho has confirmed that she will no longer reprise her Yukimura character in the TV series. She said that she loved her experience with “Teen Wolf” but the show already wrapped up the storyline of Yukimura so there was no use for her to come back, cites Breathecast.
Meanwhile, Jeff Davis said that Season 6 shall also have a really cool and new mythology which shall involve three new characters and three new bad guys. But the executive producer did not elaborate on the three new villains, preferring instead to say that the bad guys will look really cool and will be tall again. He said that for some reasons, “Teen Wolf” villains are really tall.
Davis also spoke about one of the three new villains on Season 6, referring to the thing that crawled out of the machine at the end of Season 5.
The showrunner disclosed that it was the Nazi werewolf and he can absolutely confirm that the soldier has left the machine and will be part of Season 6 as a new threat to the show protagonists.

With the intense that Teen Wolf has become on season 5, I really expect that there is a season 7 with a whole new style. Dylan Sprayberry’s acting has been really surprising, from an angry and presumptuous kid into this whole new Teenager. I already like Liam more than I liked Scott when he was younger. I just wish for Liam to become a better fighter and see him working more with Brett Talbott and his sister. I am anxious to see more about Liam and Hayden as they mature. I know she has to make to their graduation and that there won’t be anyone else to come between them. That is all that matters. I really expect for Hayden to become really good at been a werewolf and see her become more powerful than other werewolves and see her become someone Deucalion would respect and hesitate to kill. I don’t know why, but I would love for Hayden to become more important to other adults like Sheriff Stilinski, Melissa and Parrish. There is no other like Teen Wolf, even if there are like a dozen who touch the supernatural. I am waiting more for se seventh season of Teen Wolf and see who will be there than I am to see the upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead.
How utterly ridiculous! Liam has been a werewolf for like five minutes, he has anger issues and is LESS Alpha material than Scottie dog and that’s saying something! It was known from the start that a show that called itself ‘Teen Wolf’ had a limited life span, it’s done, finished and was at the end of season 4, no matter how much Tyler Posey wishes it were otherwise. Let six be the end instead of dragging around this corpse of a show.
