Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Coming by Q3 2016, Will It Be the First Touchscreen MacBook? Let’s See

Apple’s secrecy about their upcoming releases is nothing new under the sun, and recently the company has been enjoying a lot of hype about the 2016 version of the MacBook Pro. We don’t know much about the laptop at this point, which is to be expected, but fans are always eager to discuss what they want to get from this year’s release. People have also been discussing certain statements made by analysts in recent times, which could potentially indicate some new developments coming up in this model.

But first, the big question – when is it coming? Most people expect Apple to announce the machine at the WWDC in June, but there are also rumors that they might rush it out of the door a bit earlier. If that’s true, then it’s good news for Apple’s fans on more than one front. On one hand, it would mean getting the new MacBook earlier than expected, but more importantly, it could also indicate that Apple are saving WWDC for another reveal.

According to experts in the industry, Apple might want to revise their current overall lineup sooner or later in order to match the changing trends on the market. People seem to be showing less interest in the iPad recently, while on the other hand the idea of a laptop/tablet combo is gaining more and more prominence. It would not be surprising to see Apple trying their own hand at something like this too, and the company actually has a lot of potential to set some new trends on the tech market right now.

With that in mind, some see a touchscreen as a very viable addition to the design of the MacBook Pro 2016, and a detachable keyboard may not be too far-fetched if that’s true either. The effects of these changes on a user’s productivity can be staggering, as we’ve seen in the developments of some other companies recently, and it would be particularly interesting to see how these features work in the context of OSX. The system is already known for being focused on boosting the user’s potential for getting work done, after all.

On the other hand, some are claiming that if these changes do come, they will be aimed at another version of the MacBook – the Air line. A model with particular focus on a compact form factor and increased productivity may be just what the market wants right now, especially after we’ve seen other manufacturers trimming down the dimensions of their more powerful notebook models in recent times. The market is undergoing some interesting changes and Apple may very well be at the forefront of the new wave if they decide to take some risks this time around. And in the end, they’re a company that knows the word “risk” very well.

There are rumors that a new MacBook Air is coming along with the new version of the Pro line, so that could further add to the credibility of the above claims. Some have also been looking at the situation from the opposite direction, claiming that Apple should look into consolidating some of their product lines in order to be more efficient on the market. It doesn’t really seem like this is in their plans right now though, as the company is more focused on spreading their brand name as much as possible, a strategy that is somewhat different from their previous “niche” approach. Regardless of whether they choose to combine their lines or spread out their lineup more thinly though, what do people want to see in the next edition of the MacBook?
