Better Call Saul Season 2 Jesse Pinkman Appearance Could Happen if It Fits the Show, Reveals Aaron Paul!

Before the Season 2 premiere of the American crime drama TV series “Better Call Saul” on AMC, it was rumored that the second season of the critically-acclaimed show could actually feature the appearance of some of the key characters of its parent series, the equally popular and critically-acclaimed “Breaking Bad.”

Those who have followed and watched the five seasons of “Breaking Bad” are familiar with the key characters of “Better Call Saul” including lead star Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul Goodman in the parent series but is dearly holding on to his Jimmy McGill persona in the spinoff show, Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, and Raymond Cruz as Tuco Salamanca.

Foremost to fan wishful thinking of “Breaking Bad” characters appearing on “Better Call Saul” are no other than Brian Cranston, who played Walter White and Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman.

In a recent interview, Paul said that he is open to the idea of appearing on “Better Call Saul” but he would like to do so because his appearance fits the show and not because he just has to show up because he is from “Breaking Bad,” notes the International Business Times.

He said that his character’s appearance in “Better Call Saul” could pop up in the series this season or the next but he has no idea when exactly would it happen or if it would indeed happen.

Paul said that knowing the producers of “Better Call Saul,” as they are also the same producers of “Breaking Bad,” he honestly thinks that they are not just going to throw Jesse into the mix just to satisfy fan cravings for the character.

A beloved character

Jesse Pinkman was one of the most well-loved characters from “Breaking Bad,” next only to Walter White. Pinkman was the partner and cooking assistant of White. He was also a former student of White who failed his chemistry class in the past.

But “Better Call Saul” is the prequel of “Breaking Bad” so if ever Jesse Pinkman would appear on the current AMC TV series, he should be younger on the show.

And the producers would really have to find a way to make that work first before considering the appearance of Pinkman on the TV series.

Saul Goodman is also the attorney of Walter White in “Breaking Bad” so the appearance of Jesse Pinkman would have some element of unfamiliarity between the two because Saul is still Jimmy McGill in the current second season of “Better Call Saul.”

Getting the upper hand

Episode 8 of “Better Call Saul” Season 2 would air on AMC on April 4 and it shall be titled “Fifi.” Based on the synopsis of the episode, Jimmy will get the upper hand as he starts anew at his old office, notes the Ecumenical News.

The teaser trailer for episode 8 showed Jimmy learning his recent discovered information has something to do with a military base which gives him a competitive edge so he ecstatically returns to work.

The trailer also showed Mike continuously observing Tuco and his family. He decides to make a move to finally settle the score with his enemy so he can guarantee the safety of his own family.

Mike and his granddaughter Kaylee was also shown creating a special hose, then her mom Stacey checks their project and picks her up.

Better Call Saul Season 2

“Better Call Saul” was nominated as Outstanding Drama TV Series in the recent Primetime Emmy Award while Bob Odenkirk also got the recognition for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Drama TV Series. Although both the show and the actor did not win the award for their respective category, “Better Call Saul” continues to wow viewers on AMC.

In fact, the superb ratings of the show have made it easy for the network to decide for its Season 3 renewal even before its Season 2 draws to a close.

AMC president Charlie Collier said that “Better Call Saul” has its own feel, pace, and sensibility and everyone in the network can’t wait to see what the incredibly talented group comes up next in Season 3.
