Fighting games like Tekken have been very popular in arcades all over the world and since they have been coming to consoles, the popularity has soared. Fans of the Tekken series have been waiting a long time for the new version of the game known as “Fated Retribution” and recent news is not going to be good news. At this point, just about every single gaming source online has reported that Tekken 7 release will be delayed until at least July.
Even though the date has been moved to July of this year, that does not guarantee anything. Gamers all over the world have seen delays like this before and sometimes, games just disappear from the radar altogether. That is not likely to happen with Tekken 7, which happens to be the ninth installment in the video game series, but any delay is one that consumers hate to hear about. The game was just announced in December of last year.
Since then, fans of the series have been wondering what they can expect with the new game. The arcade is expected to feature new content, costumes, characters and items that can be used within the game. Just like most of the arcade fighting games, Tekken 7 will feature 1-on-1 style matches and a brand new gameplay that features two modes. Rage Art and Power Crush are the two modes that gamers will be able to utilize.
Rage Art allows a player to complete several unblockable moves that will deal up to thirty percent damage after the health bar has moved into critical stages. The down side is that you will have to turn off the normal attack power increase. Rage Art will be updates in Tekken 7 allowing you to do more damage from your moves if you are taking on damage at the same time. The second mode, Power Crush, allows the player to continue attacking their opponent even when they start taking on damage from them. Even though they are attacking the opponent at the same time, they will also be taking on the normal damage as the opponent is attacking.
This move would be helpful if the opponent is closer to defeat than you are and just a few more attacks will do the trick. The arcade version of the game is expected to be in arcades all over the world by the summer, but if you are waiting around for the console version of the game, you might be waiting until next year according to reports. At that time, Tekken 7 Fated Retribution would be made available for the Xbox One, PS4 and the Windows PC. Fans are estimating that Tekken 7 will be the final version of the game.
