Safety Testing the 2015 Subaru Outback on Road: First Report!

The recent road test of the 2015 Subaru Outback proved a very important point to the car enthusiasts – Safety is the key feature of a great car! With the upcoming variant of the Outback, Subaru means business, as it has aced the charts at the U.S Road Safety Test.

Subaru is well known for creating vehicles that feature amazing technological advancements. The result has still shocked most critics as they are now eagerly awaiting the test reports of the vehicle’s on-road capabilities.

The 2015 Subaru Outback marks the company’s return to the A-list of the mid-sized SUVs and crossovers. The Outback‘s chassis is constructed by Fuji Heavy Industries in a unique fashion incorporating a horizontally mounted engine along with an all-wheel drivetrain. This is a new high point for all Subaru enthusiasts.

For an offensive power band, a brand new 3.6-liter DOHC 6-cylinder engine block is installed, with a maximum power generation capability of 256 BHP along with 247 ft-lb of torque. However, the safety features incorporated in this car has triumphed over all other specifications.

The 2015 Subaru Outback features improved stability and aerodynamics. The handling is much more natural and driver-friendly as a result. Apart from that, the vehicle features additional layers of insulation to protect the car against unfavorable wind speeds and road noise.

Improved refinement levels can be noticed due to the fewer distracting elements that could have compromised the safety issues on the car in the slightest possible manner.

A slight increase in ride height along with additional weights in proper spots has helped improve the car’s handling by a huge extent. Due to the raised height of the car, a larger roofline is available, improving the visibility from the front seat, along with great rear visibility as well.

In addition to improving the safety features on the car, the designers have managed to enhance the fun associated with driving, with a new audio device and entertainment system. Some of the basic drive safety features include the latest Eye Sight technology – which allows the driver to see about 40 per cent more in their rear view mirrors – Stability Control, Rear Parking Sensors, Lane Departure Warning, ABS, Hill Climb Assist (optional) and Steering Damper (optional), etc.

Other standard safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Detection. Subaru has come a long way since the days of the Impreza and they have combined their expertise in car designing and rallying effortlessly in the 2015 Outback.
