Adam Lambert Pays Tribute to David Bowie by Saying the Musician was Ahead of His Time, And More!

Adam Lambert knows the great rock stars and musicians not only of his time but also those ahead of him. It is no wonder he could relate so well to the music of Queen and the late Freddie Mercury.

Last week, during Valentine’s Day, the 2009 “American Idol” runner-up joined Jack Antonoff during the 2016 Clive Davis pre-Grammy Awards party in honoring the late and great David Bowie.

During their performance, Lambert and Antonoff performed “Let’s Dance,” which was made famous by David Bowie.

In an interview before his performance on stage with Jack Antonoff, Lambert said that he is very honored to be asked to perform the music of a legend. He also says that David Bowie was a musician that was ahead of his time, notes ChicagoPride.com.

The “Ghost Town” singer cited Bowie for continuously reinventing himself and pushing not only new music but new ideas as well.

Lambert said that he believes that the 70s was David Bowie’s glam rock period and the “American Idol” alum said that he just loves how Bowie kind of pushed gender stereotypes out the window and made people really think about the difference between man and woman and kind of blend it up and confuse people.

He added that Bowie’s idea of what fame is and what celebrity is make the musician really stand out and be regarded as well ahead of his time. Like him, he said that there are also a lot of young musicians and artists that were inspired by the work, ideas, and music of David Bowie.

Runner-up to this year’s most eligible bachelor

Adam Lambert has been out-voted by Tyler Oakley as Out Magazine’s most eligible bachelor of the year.

Lambert won the award last year but this year, he was on track to make it two in a row but Tyler Oakley ended up beating him by just under 5% of the votes.

Tyler’s votes increased by 20% during the final hour of the voting initiated by Out Magazine, cites Socialite Life.

Nonetheless, the voters were happy with the result because indeed Tyler Oakley and Adam Lambert are two of the most eligible celebrity bachelors in the world today.

Collaborating on a new track

Meanwhile, Adam Lambert and DJ Steve Aoki appears to be working on a new track together. While no official statement have been made by both or either of the two musicians, it seems that the series of photos that they recently shared on Instagram and videos on Twitter and Snapchat seem to indicate so.

It was actually Steve Aoki who sort of confirmed that they are working on a new track when he captioned his posts by saying that he and Adam Lambert are collaborating on a new track titled “Can’t Go Home.”

It was Aoki who made the announcement so it is likely that the new track will be part of his next album titled “Neon Future III.”

Based on the photos shared by the two musicians on social media, it seems obvious that both Adam and Steve are having fun with their collaboration.

There was even an image showing Lambert taking a break from their hard work and meeting Lil Uzi, Aoki’s favorite puppy.

After a busy and round-about first month to start 2016 on a very high note, February is no different for Adam Lambert as the musician was all over the music scenes once again.

He is set to bring his “The Original High” tour to the Grand Theater inside the Foxwoods Resort Casino on February 26, which is part of the promotional support for Adam’s critically-acclaimed third studio album released in June last year.

When Warner Bros Records released “The Original High” last year, it debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Album charts.
