Maddie Ziegler, the breakout star of the reality dance competition show “Dance Moms” Season 5 last year, is about to return in the next episode of the sixth season of the popular hit reality TV series.
There have been reports that the reason why dance leader Abby Lee Miller was getting irritated or annoyed during the first few episodes of Season 6 of “Dance Moms” is because her star student Maddie Ziegler has yet to film an episode for the show.
Apparently, Maddie was busy shooting her debut film titled “The Book of Henry” helmed by “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow.
The upcoming episode 8 of “Dance Moms,” aptly titled “Maddie is Back” will air on the Lifetime network on February 23 and shall see Maddie Ziegler making her return to the Abby Lee Dance Company fresh from her film shooting.
Not happy with Maddie’s return
However, instead of being happy that her star student is back, Abby Lee Miller would act as if the return of Maddie means nothing to her or the show, notes Movie News Guide.
In fact, not only Maddie’s mother Melissa Gisoni will be shocked, all of the mothers of the young dancers will be surprised to see Abby not at all happy with the return of Maddie.
It is possible that Abby may still be thinking about the fraud charges she is currently facing in court where she could face jail time of up to five years or she may just be pretending that she is not happy with Maddie’s return but deep inside her, she is gloating over the fact that her favorite student is back on the show.
However, there are also speculations that Abby is actually jealous of Maddie because of the many achievements that the latter has accomplished at such a young age.
But Maddie will also make her own adjustments to “Dance Moms” Season 6 as she needs to catch up with the schedule so that her dance performance would not fall below her contemporaries including her sister Mackenzie, JoJo Siwa, Nia Frazier, among others. Incidentally, the three will be performing solo dance numbers in the upcoming episode.
Not very pleased with the Mini Elite team
Abby formed a new Mini Elite dance team during the third episode of Season 6 of “Dance Moms.” However, over the last two episodes of the show, Abby appears not very happy with her young professional dancers.
The dance leader shared a photo on her Instagram account of Alexus Oladi, Arena Lopez, Kendyl Flay, and Peyton Evans, and hinted at the possible fate of the young girls on “Dance Moms,” cited Design & Trend.
But the latest spoiler of “Dance Moms” episode 8 showed that the young dancers will still be around in the upcoming episode. As to whether they shall become regulars of the show or not, it is for Abby’s call to make.
While Mackenzie, JoJo, and Nia will have their solo performances on episode 8, Kendall Vertes and Brynn Rumfallo will not have any lone showcase during the upcoming episode.
Meanwhile, despite her tough stance most of the time, it seems like her tough public face is starting to wear off and dance leader Abby Lee Miller is now wilting under the immense pressure of her ongoing fraud case.
On the fourth episode of “Dance Moms” Season 6 that aired on Lifetime on January 26, Abby Lee Miller was shown getting emotional over her fraud case. She was seen speaking with someone on the phone and was quoted as saying that her career could be over.
The episode was titled “Now You See Abby, Now You Don’t,” and it also saw her ALDC dancers competing at the Dream National Competition in California without her.
Prior to the dance competition, one of the mothers told her colleagues that Abby Lee Miller just quit “Dance Moms.”
There were speculations that Abby could be absent again on the following episode of “Dance Moms” but she showed up just the same and that her supposed resignation was just the stress of the fraud case getting the better of her.
