In the current seventh season of the American supernatural drama series “The Vampire Diaries,” Caroline Forbes, played by Candice Accola King, is in a relationship with Stefan Salvatore, played by Paul Wesley, which is why there are plenty of ‘Steroline’ shippers, despite the fact that they all know that from the flash-forwards of the show, the pair would not end up together.
The 14th episode of “The Vampire Diaries” will actually be a crossover episode with its spinoff series “The Originals” also on The CW and will see Caroline travelling to New Orleans, Louisiana and possibly meeting Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan, after three years.
Back in the past episode of “The Vampire Diaries” shown last week, she was seen telling her children that they are on a road trip to New Orleans to visit Mommy’s friend.
As it is, Klaus is perhaps her only friend in New Orleans although it seems unclear if she will indeed be seeing Klaus face-to-face, notes the International Business Times.
A beautiful phone call
Executive producer Julie Plec said that it is possible that Caroline and Klaus will be in the same room together, although she did not say whether they will meet face-to-face. Plec assured viewers that the next episode of “The Vampire Diaries” should expect some great scenes reminiscent of Season 3 Klaus and Stefan moments.
Back then, the meeting came out as a surprising generosity from one Klaus Mikaelson while an awkward moment for Stefan Salvatore as he realizes that he is not sure if Klaus knows that he and Caroline are a couple.
Plec also added that there would be one beautiful phone call between Klaus and Caroline, much to the delight of the ‘Klaroline’ shippers. She just wants to leave out the part whether they will see face-to-face in the upcoming episode.
It has been nearly three years since Klaus and Caroline last saw each other so fans and viewers of both “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” want more than a phone call between the two.
But even if Klaus and Caroline do see each other in the upcoming episode, it is unlikely that they would jump into bed because it has already been established that Caroline is already engaged to Alaric, played by Matt Davis, in the flash-forwards.
Hope springs eternal
But there is always hope for the two vampires. It could be recalled that Klaus told Caroline when he left Mystic Falls almost three years ago that Tyler is her first love but he intends to be her last, however long it takes.
With eternity ahead of them, it is no wonder that shippers of ‘Klaroline’ never give up hope on their relationship.
It would be quite an interesting plotline since the crossover episode of “The Originals” with “The Vampire Diaries” will see Stefan seeking refuge in New Orleans. So it would be interesting to find out what Stefan and Klaus would talk about with regards to Caroline.
Executive producer Caroline Dries said that they knew that fans wanted to see Joseph Morgan and Paul Wesley together on screen because the two actors have had the longest history in the shows apart from Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, and Katherine, played by Nina Dobrev.
So it would be interesting how the two actors and their characters will tackle their conversation over some bourbon.
Episode 13 of “The Vampire Diaries” shown on February 19 is considered by TV Line as the best episode of the show for Season 7, and also regarded as the show’s return to form because it was funny, heartbreaking, exciting, and captivating.
One good news for fans of Elena Gilbert and Nina Dobrev is that her body is alive and not burned. So she is still sleeping somewhere and can wake up at any moment’s notice.
It was Enzo who made the disclosure when he was captured by Rayna and allowed her to steal the Phoenix Sword. He then told Damon that the casket of Elena he burned was an empty decoy. He said that he kept Elena’s body in a mutual friend with Tyler.
While fans of “The Vampire Diaries” already know that Stefan and Caroline will not end up together in the future despite the present-day Steroline, the romance will be highlighted some more in the second half of Season 7.
