Television shows have grown from a thirty minute sitcom to an hour long series over the last few years. Fans are getting more content and another trend that has popped up is the fact that seasons are spread out over more months with a winter break tossed into the mix. Bones Season 11 is just the same and will be showing a midseason premiere when it comes back on April 14th of this year. The popular show airs on Fox, Thursday nights at 8PM EST.
The crime drama series has been coming back each year with more fans and more criminal drama. The show started back in September of 2005 and is based on forensic anthropology and forensic archaeology. Most of the criminal drama series are based on murders where the crime has happened quite recently, where Bones takes things a step further looking at bones to find clues. Bones is the longest running one hour long television show that Fox produces.
Bones Season 11 was ordered back in October of last year and judging by how the first half of the season went, the second half should have plenty to bring to the table. Bones Season 11B will premiere almost four months after the last episode and that is not a normal break in action for television shows. If you remember, there was an explosion that changed Hodgins life and that is where the show will pick up, only thirteen weeks later.
Fans assumed that Hodgins was uninjured until you got to the end of the last episode when you see that he has been paralyzed from the waist down. Coming back into production, the show will pick up with him in rehab and moving around in a wheelchair, which is likely to add its own drama to the show. Going a long with that part of the story is the fact that his wife, Angela, is trying to keep them together through this tough time. Her husband keeps pushing her away and that is when she goes to Sebastian Kohl for comfort and support.
Besides that conclusion to the outcome of that explosion, there will be an investigation into the death of a public defender. Booth and Brennan will be investigate which of the previous cases by the public defender was one that might have gotten him killed. Finding the killer might not be as easy as it has been in the past for the two investigators. Besides that, there will be an outside threat for them to deal with. Booth was dealing with a gambling problem in last season, but this time around it is something different, only described as an “external force”.
