Frozen 2 not Happening before Disney Are Sure They Can Continue It Properly!

“Frozen” was a huge success, and immediately spawned a large following of fans. They have been understandably excited to see a sequel to the movie, although Disney have not been giving any hopeful indications in this regard so far. In fact, the company has been putting quite a lot of work into some of their other projects, to such an extent that from the outside, it seems impossible that they could also be developing a sequel to “Frozen” along everything else. A recent interview with Bob Iger shed some light onto the situation.

Apparently, Disney have been a bit overwhelmed with the success of the first film, to the point where they are anxious to continue until they’re sure they have a solid long-term plan. According to Iger, the company’s main goal before they can begin production on “Frozen 2” at full speed is to make sure that they can then follow up the film with another installment.

On the outside, this might sound simple – it doesn’t seem like a complicated task to finish off the story in a way that leaves it open for a sequel. But fans of Disney’s works know that the studio doesn’t like to take the easy approach to these situations, and they always come up with a complicated, deeply developed plot that takes a lot of fine work to deliver. It seems easier for Disney to develop a story where they wrap everything up in the end. In the cases where they do leave a story open in the end, they have always done it in somewhat unusual ways.

The company seems intent on showing that they definitely haven’t forgotten their “Frozen” fans though, as they’re gearing up to release a special installment related to the film in 2015. Called “Frozen Fever”, it’s a musical which will feature some familiar characters from the original film, in a story that celebrates Anna’s birthday. It’s also been confirmed that several actors who played in the original film will return for the musical.

Frozen 2

Of course, this will be just a short film, not a full-length installment – but until “Frozen 2” becomes a reality, this is all fans are going to get, and they should make the most of it. Judging by the information Disney has been releasing about the short musical though, it’s going to be a blast, and will be packed full of fun for anyone who enjoyed the original film. And for those who haven’t watched “Frozen” yet, it could serve as the perfect inspiration to get them to check out why everyone has been going so crazy about it ever since it came out.
