‘Suits’ Season 5 Episode 13 to See the Return of Abigail Spencer’s Scottie Character Having an Argument with Rachel!

One of the most in-demand actresses on TV these days, Abigail Spencer, will return to the next episode of Season 5 of the American legal drama TV series “Suits” on the USA Network when the show is aired on February 10.

Spencer will reprise his role of Scottie, the former girlfriend of Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, in the upcoming 13th episode of “Suits,” reports Design & Trend.

Apparently, the law firm Pearson Specter Litt will look to Scottie to do something to help them extricate Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, from the fraud mess that he got himself into.

But since she has been a little resentful of Mike’s secret right from the start, she is reportedly not going to have the greatest response to whatever the firm is asking her to do.

That would actually result in her character Scottie getting into a tense argument with Rachel, played by Meghan Markle, who happens to be the girlfriend of Mike Ross.

Showrunner Aaron Korsh, revealed that episode 13, titled “God’s Green Earth,” will see Scottie and Rachel getting an opportunity to talk with each other.

Both of their men are in the crosshairs so they have an interesting little interaction where they get to express different points of view on what the consequences of the whole thing might be, revealed Korsh.

Taking sides

While nothing has been said yet about the conversation between Scottie and Rachel, fans and viewers of “Suits” are speculating that it would be very much like the restroom confrontation scene between Rachel and Donna, played by Sarah Rafferty, during episode 12 shown on February 3.

Korsh also revealed that they have put the Rachel-Donna confrontation scene in the previous episode because they wanted to show that Donna is in Harvey’s corner while Rachel is in Mike’s corner but the two of them hardly realized that Mike and Harvey are actually in each other’s corners.

The showrunner also alluded that Mike and Harvey would fall on the sword for the other if they could. But they are trying not to fall on the sword at all.

He added that US District Attorney Anita Gibbs, played by Leslie Hope, is sort of forcing Donna and Rachel to choose a side or contemplate which side to choose. It is sort of a “Sophie’s Choice” and it is sure to put stains on their bond.

Finding a trial strategy

It is also reported that Harvey and Mike will brainstorm on the most appropriate trial strategy in order to put one over Gibbs.

The series creator said that as the news of Mike’s arrest spreads, the desire to ultimately fight the charges is going to bring people out of the woodwork.

Korsh also added that fans and viewers are going to meet a lot of old friends and foes particularly more about on how Mike and Harvey prepare their defense, notes Movie News Guide.

According to spoilers, the upcoming 13th episode of “Suits” will also see Scottie and Trevor in some major scenes surrounding Mike’s arrest. Both characters would have substantial roles in the second half of Season 5 of the legal drama TV series.

Korsh also explained why he chose Shiela as the person who ratted out on Mike because there is no other character in “Suits” Season 5 that has any strong reason to turn Mike in.

He disclosed that the writers of the TV series came up with several ideas. But they also suggested that the character would want to harm Mike to avenge him or to gain some personal advantage.

Korsh and the writers could have chosen the parents of Rachel as the ones who turned the brilliant para-lawyer in because they have long been wanting for the law to catch up with Mike

According to the executive producer, they picked Shiela because they wanted a character who would find out something and in response, do something that can be considered the right thing to do.
