‘Left 4 Dead 3’ Destined to be Great if it Builds on the Gains of ‘Left 4 Dead’ and Avoid the Mess of ‘Left 4 Dead 2,’ Cites Game Critic!

A fanatic and critic of the multiplayer zombie shooter video game franchise “Left 4 Dead” is one of the millions of gamers who are eagerly anticipating the release of “Left 4 Dead 3” from game developer Valve Corporation.

Latest reports have it that the game could finally come out on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC next year although it remains speculation at this time as Valve has yet to make a formal announcement or statement to either confirm or deny the rumored release date of the game.

The critic believes that in order for Valve to make “Left 4 Dead 3” great, it has to build on the gains and success of “Left 4 Dead” and avoid the mess that the developer has somewhat made on “Left 4 Dead 2,” reports Gamerant.

The female game critic admitted to having enjoyed “Left 4 Dead 2” nonetheless but there is a point in the game that it featured very few improvements and also so many shortcomings too that it could have been released by Valve merely as an expansion of the original game instead of a new title.

A worthy stand-alone title

Back then, it should be remembered that Valve was not publishing its own developed games and had to answer to Electronic Arts (EA). So with the massive success of “Left 4 Dead,” EA wanted to immediately cash in on the title and pushed both Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios to haphazardly develop “Left 4 Dead 2,” which came out just a little over a year later after “Left 4 Dead.”

At the moment, Valve has full ownership of the series and no third-party publisher to answer to. Thus, it is likely that Valve will be back to its mode when it first developed the original “Left 4 Dead.”

So both the critic and millions of gamers of the franchise are hoping that the next game of the franchise would feature massive and impressive changes on “Left 4 Dead” and really make it a worthy stand-alone title.

Based on the rumored plotlines of “Left 4 Dead 3,” it seems that Valve is right on target towards redeeming the misgivings of “Left 4 Dead 2.”

Doing away with the Xbox 360 version

Last month, there have been reports that Valve shall no longer be developing “Left 4 Dead 3” on the Xbox 360 version and thus will content itself with an edition for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC when the game officially comes out next year.

Amid the apprehensions of some gamers and critics on Valve to be able to come up with a great game now that Turtle Rock Studios is already out of the picture, an official for Turtle Rock Studios said that “Left 4 Dead 3” is now a Valve thing.

The Turtle Rock Studios official said that gamers would really like to see something new done with the video game series and Valve always does great stuff.

However, he also expressed interest in the development of “Left 4 Dead 3” when he said that it is cool to go back to the game but only as a fan and not a developer.

Accordingly, there will be six campaigns for “Left 4 Dead 3,” including Crash-land, Impasse, Inquisitor Land, Early Destination, Cliff-Hanger, and No Mercy.

The game shall also introduce four new survivors which are playable either by single or multiplayer mode. The characters will be three men and a woman. The three men include a gangster named Irvin, a comic book nerd named Keenan, and a famous Kenpo fighter known as Garrett Jr. The lone female in the group is Katherine, notes Screen Rant.

left 4 dead 3

The supposed development of “Left 4 Dead 3” has been in the rumor mills for quite some time already that most gamers and critics are almost certain that game developer Valve Corporation has been working on it already.

“Left 4 Dead 3” is one of two video games that have been drawing much excitement, enthusiasm, and anticipation from Valve Corporation, with the other being “Half-Life 3.”
