Sony has a great reputation in the mobile world over the last five years or more. The company has released some of the most sought after smartphones and tablets with features that will blow your mind away. The bad thing about the devices that are released is that they do not hold enough water in the market to take some share from Apple and other companies like HTC, LG and Samsung. The Sony Xperia M5 might change that.
Sony has many products in the consumer electronics and mobile marketplace. They have been around for years and might be the front runner when it comes to technology that is taking over things like smartphones and tablets. The Sony Xperia M5 is expected to arrive very soon and it will fit right into the “super mid-range” category according to sources online. The phone is powered by the popular Android operating system, just like all of the others.
One of the main features that all Sony smartphones have is the larger, touch screen display. The Sony Xperia M5 is reportedly going to have a 5-inch display with a full HD resolution at 1920×1080 pixels. The size of the display is about average for smartphones on the market today and with the brightness of it and efficiency, it will look good. One of the most commonly used chipsets in smartphones over the last few years came from Qualcomm and there has been little complaint about that.
However, the Sony Xperia M5 is not going to have that chipset powering everything. Instead, the company has decided to go with the Helio X10 octa-core processor. According to the specs that have leaked online, this new chipset was clocked at 2GHz and runs nicely with 3GB of RAM. The phone features 16GB of internal memory as well. Sony has always had a good camera system in the smartphones it released and the Sony Xperia M5 is not any different. The M5 comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing sensor and a, huge 21-megapixel sensor on the back side. The front facing camera is the largest on the market at 13MP.
The 21.5-megapixel sensor on the back side of the smartphone is top of the line and will be the new standard on smartphones for a while. It features an f/2.2 aperture lens that has a fast auto focus system clocked at just 0.2 seconds. With a sensor that large, the camera can produce a great shot, even at 5x digital zoom. Video recording has also been bumped up to include 4K resolution, with “auto scene” recognition that can read from fifty-two scenarios. All of this in a water and dust proof body.
