The government must not turn into the yardstick to assess people’s extremism. Our society is a moderate one which can discern for itself what people or groups are extremist and what groups have an eye for moderation.”
He stated “Sure enough in our society there are extremists in different political strata. Islam proscribes extremism. Any sort of extremism can bring much damage to society. But governments must not become the yardstick to evaluate extremism.”
He added that if governments turn into the touchstone in judging extremism they will turn the opportunity into a tool to suppress their opposite opinion.
Namin asserted that the public morale of society must be considered as the yardstick to judge extremism, adding “Our society is a moderate one and can discern which persons or groups are extremists and what groups have an eye for moderation.”
He further claimed that people will drive extremist groups into isolation, adding “In the past as well we saw that people turned away from extremist groups, a salient example of which was the Reform administration.”
