Medical dramas are often not light on the dramatic aspect, and “Grey’s Anatomy” in particular is known for some more moving moments in some of its episodes. The show has gone through a lot over its twelve seasons, and it looks like when the current one resumes from its hiatus next month, it’s going to open up with some very harsh developments.
A recently released trailer for the first episode that will air after the pause was mostly focused on Meredith, showing her trying to get her patient in bed right before she’s violently attacked and put in a life-threatening condition. All of her colleagues are working hard to save her life, but it’s not clear if she will actually be able to pull through, or if the show is going to take a grim turn with its very first season after the hiatus.
Things were pretty tense the last time we saw our favorite characters too, as they were in a very difficult situation and had to put in extra work to deal with the chaos that occurred. All of the doctors were given a lot of work, and the situation with Meredith couldn’t have come at a worse time, according to most fans. Are we going to see an even darker continuation of the story than what fans are guessing?
Of course, Meredith is not the only character on the show, and we’re going to see other issues addressed in the upcoming episodes too. Jackson and April will still be in a difficult position, and things are awkward between the two characters after what happened with them. It looks like April will be trying to dodge the issue – and by extension Jackson – while on the other hand Jackson is apparently considering ending the relationship. In the end, Jackson will get fed up trying to circle around the situation and will force April to have the dreaded talk with him, but we’re not sure how that is going to go.
There will also be some more positive developments in those episodes though, and it won’t be just negativity and drama surrounding all characters. Maggie and Andrew, for example, will be in a relatively good position, although it’s hinted that this could also change fast and we could see them reaching a tough spot in their own relationship. Maggie will be doing her best to maintain a professional air around the whole thing, but we’re not sure just how successful her efforts are going to be given the nature of the whole situation.
That will apparently put Andrew in a bad mood, but we don’t know if that will be a serious bump on the road between them or just something that they will deal with before the episode is even over. “Grey’s Anatomy” can be a bit unpredictable when it comes to these relationships between its characters, which is part of the fun for fans of the show.
For now, most of the discussions among the show’s fans are focused on the fate of Meredith and what could happen to her own character. There are different suggestions that people keep bringing up, but most are apparently convinced that things will not end well for her, and she might face a difficult situation once the show returns. Not everyone is predicting her death, admittedly, but there are other suggestions that things might end up badly for her.
