We all know exactly how to become a werewolf and that usually has something to do with the reason that we do not go around them if we can help it. That is not what the plan was for one teen who found himself bitten by one before starting his second year in high school. That is what happened in Teen Wolf and fans were ready to watch a transformation that really never made it big as a television show.
Teen Wolf started back in 2011, right after the MTV Movie Awards show. Since then, there have never been more than two million viewers average throughout one season, but it was renewed time and time again. In July of 2014, MTV renewed the show for a split fifth season and that is where we are right now. The critics have been reviewing Teen Wolf as mostly positive, but the ratings are quite low for a show that has been on this long.
Being a teenager is hard enough the way it is, but now Scott McCall has to balance that all out with the fact that he is a werewolf himself. The good thing is that he will not have to get through it all on his own. The morale of that story is a good one for the young viewers out there. He has a human friend, Stiles Stilinski, his love interest Allison Argent and her best friend Lydia Martin, along with Derek Hale and his mysterious past.
The first two seasons of Teen Wolf were just twelve episodes each, with the third being split into two parts of twenty-four total episodes and the fifth season is going to be the same format, just four episodes less this time around. There has been a lot of talk about Lydia lately and that has fans wondering what they can expect in the second half of this season. Even after all of these years, McCall has been able to stay out of the spotlight as a werewolf. However, he was recently seen on camera during an attack and that has the show moving a whole different direction.
In the second half of this season, there will be a lot of focus on the “Beast” and Allison who reportedly encountered it back in the 1700’s France. There are plenty of flashbacks available to bring the viewers up to speed on that story line and they show a french soldier that returns home only to find the “Beast” attacking people that he knows. The “Beast” character is going to be developed throughout the remainder of the season and was inspired by other comic book beasts like the Hulk.
