Filming for Agent Carter Season 2 took about four months and even though season one took place in 1946 New York City, it was filmed in Los Angeles.  The director and the producers realized that they could not just go to New York City as it was back in 1946, but much of L.A. looks the same as it did back then.  Moving the filming to the other side of the country was the best thing they could do for the show.  It allowed for faster filming and just followed the story line better than modern day New York City.
