Over the years, there have been plenty of games worth playing on all of the consoles that have been released. One of those games and probably the most popular video game series in the world is Grand Theft Auto. The game is so closely followed that fans start to get excited about the newest game many years before it is released for their favorite gaming console. GTA 6 is the next game in the long line of successful ones before it and the release date might have been posted online this week.
The first even Grand Theft Auto was released back in 1997 and it has been one of the fastest selling, most played games in the world since then. GTA 6 is going to be the sixteenth version of the game to be released over the years and with all of the new three dimensional graphics and life like interactions in the game, they take a lot longer to develop. Grand Theft Auto IV was released in 2008 with Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars being released the next year.
After that, the next game that was released was Grand Theft Auto V, which hit consoles and PC’s in 2013. It has not been almost three years after that release and the next installment has been talked about, minus the release date. Just like the video games that are released every few years, the consoles they are played on are not released each year like they were in the past.
Way more development goes into a console these days and that pushes out the releases dates to years later. Gamers were just introduced to the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 last year, so the chances the next console comes in the next two years are slim. With that being said, fans of GTA 6 are thinking that it would be out of development and ready for purchase with the brand new PS5. Of course, there is nothing official saying that, but fans can see the writing on the way and based on the history of release dates there is likely some truth to it.
When you have a game as popular as Grand Theft Auto, the rumor mill is going to move a lot more compared to any other game on the market. Grand Theft Auto 5 is still a major hit with gamers all over the world, so it is not like they forgot about it at this point. Rockstar games has been riding the wave of success with this game series and if the games are more spread out, that wave could go for quite a while. Initial rumors about the GTA 6 release date include sometime in 2018, which seems like ages from now.
