Apple iOS Jailbreak Getting Harder To Come By, Version 9.2 Delayed!

The odds are pretty good that even if you own an Apple iPhone, you do not know what an Apple iOS Jailbreak is. The fact is, that is a good thing as it happens to be something that Apple is trying to end with each new piece of software that it releases to the public. For the most part, jailbreaking your iPhone means that you are hacking the software with hopes of gaining access to things that are not typically accessed through the normal use of your smartphone.

Basically, Apple adds restrictions to software on the iPhone so that as the user, you can only download and install what the companies has for sale in the Apple App Store. Ever since the first iPhone arrived about eight years ago, there have been hackers working on an iOS jailbreak so they could get access to the root files and therefore be able to add apps, extensions and themes from third party developers that are not purchased through the App Store.

Apple does about as much as it can to keep the software updated with fewer exploits for the hackers to find their way into the phone and it would appear that the latest update has done a pretty good job. The latest Apple iOS Jailbreak is version 9.2 and according to one hacking website, those that are waiting for the jailbreak, might have to wait longer than normal to get access to it.

The website posts updates to the advancement of the jailbreak and last month mentioned they had a breakthrough with the new iOS software. That made fans all excited that they would be able to download the new software very soon, but just a few days later, the same website posted an updated that claimed they ran into other issues and the jailbreak is not going to be released as soon as they had thought. That upset fans, of course, but not because they failed, but because they were misled by the earlier post. There is little evidence they even had a breakthrough, but fans are hopeful another announcement will come soon.

Apple iOS Jailbreak

The latest update mentioned that iOS 9.2 has been available for just eight days now and each of those days the Chinese hackers have been working long and hard to find the jailbreak. The announcement on a Chinese microblogging site, similar to Twitter, said that the breakthrough had happened after just eight days, but that does not appear to be the case now. Right now, other hacking groups are recommending that you stay with the iOS 9.0.2 version of the jailbreak if you choose to go down that path. Rooting or jailbreaking your device is not recommended because in many cases it will void your warranty.
