Season 2 of the American superhero drama TV series “The Flash” on The CW is on its customary winter break so speculations about its possible spoilers for its mid-season premiere episode are swirling all over the internet.
“The Flash” will return to The CW for its mid-season premiere on January 19, 2016 which is to be its crossover and take-off episode for the “Legends of Tomorrow,” the latest American superhero drama TV series that spun off from “Arrow” and “The Flash.”
As far as the main plotline for the second half of “The Flash” is concerned, fans should expect that Zoom from Earth 2 will continue to send villains to Earth 1 to draw out Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash, played by Grant Gustin.
It could be recalled that Zoom nearly killed Barry when he came to Earth 1, but he was not able to complete his mission because he was worried that The Flash will beat him speed-wise, notes Unreality TV.
Thus, he resorted to using Harrison Wells, played by Tom Cavanagh, to do his dirty work for him by holding his daughter captive back in Earth 2.
Fans and viewers saw that at the end of the mid-season finale of Season 2 of “The Flash,” Wells agreed to Zoom’s wishes if only to protect his daughter. So when he showed up to Barry and Team Flash and looking as if he is there to help them defeat Zoom, the situation does not bode well for Barry and company.
In order to put the pressure on The Flash to face him on Earth 2, speculations are rife that Zoom will also work on capturing Barry’s girlfriend, Patty Spivot, played by Shantel VanSanten. Naturally, Barry will do everything in his power to save his girlfriend.
Mind-blowing episode
Meanwhile, Grant Gustin disclosed on his Twiter account a few days ago that they have just completed filming for episode 14 of Season 2 of “The Flash” and that it promises to blow the minds of fans and viewers when it is finally aired sometime late in February next year.
Although Gustin did not divulge any information about the episode, some insiders revealed that it is likely that the 25-year-old actor is referring to the inclusion of the DC Comics villain Geomancer in that particular episode.
Accordingly, Geomancer, who is the alter-ego of Adam Fells, to be played in the TV series by Adam Stafford, will appear in episode 14 of Season 2 of “The Flash.”
Based on the DC Comics created by chief creative officer Geoff Johns and comic book writer Davis S. Goyer, Geomancer is a foe of the Justice Society. As Adam Fells, he started out as a hired gunman attacking an African village. He later joined the Injustice Society, details Design & Trend.
Geomancer is described as a dangerous meta-human with the unique ability to create earthquakes. Intent on destroying The Flash, Geomancer uses his powers to unleash targeted earthquakes, confident that in doing so, he would be able to draw out the speedster for a duel to see who is the most powerful meta-human in Central City. It remains to be seen, however, if Geomancer was also sent out by Zoom from Earth 2.
Reports have it that Geomancer will make his appearance on episode 13 of “The Flash” and will likely continue to episode 14, which is the one described by Grant Gustin as really mind-blowing.
