Among the members of the Avengers in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War,” only Black Panther and Spider-Man have yet to be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Based on the official trailer and leaked images about the next Marvel movie which will be hitting theaters on May 6, 2016, there is hardly a clip, much less an image showing Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther.
It is possible that Marvel is keeping it in suspense just like it is doing with Spider-Man as the two Avengers shall eventually have their respective solo film sometime down the road.
But Marvel Studios can only keep the appearances of both Black Panther and Spider-Man for so long considering that they also need to do an all-out promotion of the movie already notwithstanding that it is barely five months away from showing.
And true enough, when the production company released the movie’s first official images in ultra-high quality recently, one photo gives a good glimpse of the Black Panther costume up close. The other images show Iron Man and the Winter Soldier going against each other, Captain America wearing a costume without the Avengers logo on it, among several more, details Comic Book Movie.
Changing costumes almost every movie
Critics have noted that the Avengers always have variations in their costumes for every movie, perhaps sensing that it is never fashionable for superheroes to keep wearing the same costumes in every movie.
Two of those who would have new costumes in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” are Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, and Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen.
It was actually actor Jeremy Renner who posted a snapshot of him as Hawkeye and Olsen as Scarlet Witch, on WhoSay, and showed a much-improved get-ups for the two Avengers, notes Cinema Blend.
Clint Barton, the alter ego of Hawkeye, wore a darker shade of purple and opted to keep one of his arms covered and the other one exposed.
Scarlet Witch was wearing regular clothes for most of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” but debuted an official new costume at the end of the movie following her induction to the superhero group.
It seems that her costume in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” looks mostly the same save for some minor design changes such as longer coat tails. But it does appear that she is wearing a brighter shade of red compared to her get-up during “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
First official trailer
It was previously reported that the first official trailer of “Captain America: Civil War” will be released attached to the movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” when it hits global theaters on December 18.
Then came reports that the teaser of the third installment to Captain America’s movie trilogy would come out in one of the episodes of the ongoing Season 3 of the American fiction drama TV series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on ABC.
Imagine the surprise of everyone when on November 26, Marvel Studios dropped the first official trailer of “Captain America: Civil War.” But it was a good surprise as everybody got excited after getting a glimpse of the impending division of the Avengers over the Superhero Registration Act.
Apparently, the regulation will be an offshoot of the document called as the Sokovia Accords: Framework for the Registration and Deployment of Enhanced Individuals, which came as a result of the battle with Ultron in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Sokovia is the country that Ultron attacked and then levitated from the ground in an attempt to wipe out the world.
It turns out that various international governments have come to a decision to hold the Avengers accountable for the damage that they’ve caused or their fight against Ultron caused. Governments will apparently invoke the Sokovia Accords in coming up with a legislation detailing the superhuman or superhero registration act to enable the states to still have control over them or their actions.
