Game developer EA has launched a new expansion pack for the life simulation video game “The Sims 4” titled “Get Together” and it is now available for PC and Mac users.
Since the announcement of a new expansion pack, fans of the simulation game have looked forward to its release date and it looks like EA did not disappoint players.
In the latest expansion pack, EA introduces a new gameplay as players can introduce their Sims to a variety of different clubs to allow them to interact with other Sims sharing the same interests, personalities, and style.
If, for an instance, players cannot find the right club for their Sims, they have the option to customize their own club and invite other Sims to join.
According to PCR Online, Sims completing activities while in a Club will be rewarded with Club Points that they can spend on Club Perks.
Lyndsay Pearson, the senior producer for “The Sims 4,” says that the introduction of Clubs in “Get Together” unlocks a new way to play with life. It brings Sims together to participate in many group activities.
The theme of the new expansion pack is similar with “The Sims: Hot Date,” “The Sims 2: Nightlife,” “The Sims 2: Free Time,” and “The Sims 3: Late Night.”
In addition, an array of new clothes, hairstyles, furniture, and much more has been added to “The Sims 4” latest expansion pack.
The latest expansion pack also allows gamers to enter the world of the European-inspired Windenburg.
For the first time ever, players will be able to play with groups of Sims as they explore the new world.
As per Boosh Article, Windenburg consists of new places such as a sprawling hedge maze at the Von Haunt Estate, stunning pools along the Bluffs, and the mysterious ancient ruins. It also consists of a number of Tudor homes.
In Windenburg, Sims will be able to practice their dancing and DJ skills, go to local hotspots, drink at cafes, and play games with their friends in the pub, and more.
Windenburg is now the fourth world in “The Sims 4” with the base game originally having two worlds – Willow Creek and Oasis Springs.
The third world called Newcrest became available via the game’s free update
The “Get Together” expansion pack became initially available in North America and the UK. It will be released to the rest of the world this coming weekend. The expansion pack costs $39.99 and requires “The Sims 4” game uploaded on the PC or Mac.
Players who have already gotten their hands on the expansion pack have said that the latest DLC adds a new dimension to “The Sims 4.” More importantly, it’s the perfect group bonding activity for almost everybody.
“Get Together” is the second expansion pack for “The Sims 4” following “Get to Work.”
The first expansion pack was released in March this year and allows players to control four new active players such as a Detective, Doctor, Scientist, and retail business.
“Get to Work” takes some elements from “The Sims 2: Open for Business” and “The Sims 3: Ambitions.” It also introduces a new neighborhood called Magnolia Promenade where Sims can go shopping.
Prior to the release of “Get Together,” EA gave “The Sims 4” fans a Christmas treat as it made the new Holiday Celebration Pack to the game for free via Origin.
Some of the items added are Christmas ornaments such as Christmas Trees, Christmas Lights, Wreath, Holiday wall speakers, and many more winter-themed décor items.
According to the Inquisitor, along with the Christmas-themed DLC, the video game itself received a major patch.
The latest patch included new contents such as Pool Venue, updated UI elements, updated World maps, and new interaction prompts on items.
The patch also brings a 64-bit executable file for players who use 64-bit Windows to automatically disable mods after the patch.
