Taylor Swift and her clique, which includes models Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, and Gigi Hadid among others, are known for being a friendship peg.
Surprisingly, Swift has just added another member to that crew. “Gossip Girl” alum Blake Lively is the latest superstar to join Tay’s A-list girlfriend squad.
Swift and Lively became close after the two spent some quality time together in Australia recently, People reports.
On her Instagram account, the “Bad Blood” singer shared a photo of herself and the “Age of Adaline” actress at the Warner Bros. Movie World amusement park on December 6.
The photo shows the two blonde beauties jumping for joy inside Movie World’s Roxy Theater.
The 28-year-old actress sported a pink graphic tee, jean shorts, and Chucks while Taylor donned her signature high-waisted black shorts, white tank top, and brown boots.
Prior to her snap with Lively, Taylor has been updating her fans and uploading selfies of her with kangaroos and writing funny captions on it. No wonder, she’s the most followed person on the photo-sharing app.
Lively also posted a photo from her Australia trip with the Grammy Award-winning singer. In the photo, the two are posing with a kangaroo and a fan was evidently photobombing them.
Blake’s love for Swift and her music is nothing new. The mom of one has joked back in September that the pop star’s music helped her cope after she shut down her lifestyle website, ‘Preserve.’
Speaking to Vogue, the “Green Lantern” star says that she would ask her assistant to play “Shake It Off” on loop.
While, Taylor has made a new friend over the weekend, it looks like she made an enemy as well.
A video from TMZ has surfaced in which the singer and actor Jared Leto and his Thirty Seconds to Mars bandmates are chatting in the studio while some of Swift’s “1989” tracks are playing.
Frontman Leto gave her music props and offered some critiques saying that her music has certain rhythms to Charlie XCX and Sia, but the video ended with the 43-year-old actor dropping an F-bomb that had Taylor’s name attached to it.
Upon the video’s release, Leto received major online backlash from Taylor’s fans. Some of them hit back at Leto for not appreciating the contribution of the “Style” singer in the music industry.
According to MTV, the video was released on December 8 although it was clearly taken several months back.
Apparently, the “Suicide Squad” actor was not directing the F-bomb to Swift herself, but to a particular song in the pop superstar’s latest album.
In the video, when “Welcome to New York” played, Jared spoke to someone off-cam and described what he feels when he listens to the song.
On December 8, the “Dallas Buyers Club” actor released a public apology on Twitter directed to the singer and her fans.
Leto wrote that he thinks Swift is amazing and is an incredible example of what’s possible. He closes his tweet by saying sorry to Swift if he has hurt her or her fans.
In his defense, some people on Twitter really feel that Leto’s apology was not even necessary as it was clearly a case of miscommunication.
Meanwhile, the “Blank Space” singer is among the top nominees for the 2016 Grammy Awards along with rapper Kendrick Lamar, and Canadian R&B singer The Weeknd.
The three hitmakers collectively garnered 25 nod’s for next year’s music awards. Swift and The Weeknd have seven nominations each while Lamar tops the list with 11.
The bulk of the rapper’s nominations are tied to his third album “To Pimp a Butterfly,” but his collaboration with Swift on “Bad Blood” and for co-writing Kanye West’s nominated rap song “All Day,” has earned him nominations as well.
Tay and British pop singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran scored three of the top four general field categories namely: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
