Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC would like to be recognized in the smartphone business as one of the better handset makers in the world. So when its HTC One M9 was released to the markets in April this year and got all sorts of complaints, the company knew it had to do something to redeem itself.
Immediately going back to the drawing board and buckling down to work, reports have it that the HTC One M10, the next flagship smartphone of the Taiwanese tech company, is almost ready. And the ceaseless leaks and information about its specifications and features appear to be based on something concrete.
Latest reports say that the HTC One M10 is to be the best offering from the company yet because HTC wants to erase the stigma of the complaint-ridden HTC One M9 from its memory.
High among the changes that the HTC One M10 shall bring forth is its more reliable and long-lasting battery, which is to be a great improvement from the underwhelming performance of its predecessor. In addition, the upcoming flagship smartphone of HTC will reportedly feature wireless charging, notes the Christian Today.
To come out after HTC One X9
As far as release date is concerned, there are reports that the HTC One M10 will come out after the launch of the midrange HTC One X9 which is due to be released in the first quarter of next year.
The speculation about the release date for the upcoming flagship smartphone of HTC was triggered by a post on Twitter by known HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR who said that the HTC One M10 will come out some two to three months after the release of the HTC One X9.
Accordingly, the Taiwanese tech company will hold a spring launch for the HTC One M10 to give the two handsets a reasonable gap, notes Yibada.
There are also reports that the company is also planning to roll out HTC One M9s sometime next year, which is rumored to be launched after the HTC One M10.
As its name implies, HTC One M9s is a variant of the country’s current flagship smartphone which indicate that it is going to have flagship specifications.
The HTC One M9s will be a budget smartphone with decent specifications and features. However, the same report also indicates that the upcoming HTC One M10 is drawing inspiration from the features and specifications of the upcoming HTC One M9s.
Putting itself back on the race
Many fans of the Taiwanese smartphone maker are actually hoping that the HTC One M10 would put the company back on track in the race to become one of the world’s best smartphone makers. HTC already showed that it is one of the best handset makers in the world upon the release of its HTC One M8 flagship in March last year.
It was somehow derailed a bit with the launching of the slightly-improved HTC One M9 in March this year.
Just like Samsung, it looks like HTC has learned its lesson about launching a flagship smartphone. And it will reportedly redeem itself with the HTC One M10 that shall feature plenty of firsts and groundbreaking features to make it not only the best flagship smartphone when it comes out in the market next year, but also to redeem the brand overall.
HTC is said to be looking at a hero smartphone to revive the company’s fortune in the smartphone business. It’s most recent release, the mid-range HTC One A9, seems to be a solid handset and the company shall reportedly build on its gains to build the HTC One M10 better, since it will be a flagship smartphone.

with a 3500 battery that would mean i not need to buy a Mophie battery back again (as it makes my phone HTC M7 very bulky) and the CPU been the 820 should hope its cooler as well, as a 3500 battery should make it last Easy a day (not just another iPlug device as apple devices are known for)
i still own the HTC M7 (phone is now powering off at 30%) i was never going to buy the M8 as it has a poor cam as M7 and little bit battery life and the M9 using a Hot CPU, not sure if power save CPU Option lowers the CPU enough to prevent overheat protection kicking in {battery stops charging as happens on my HTC M7 when navigating and no Airflow over the phone} i find it silly that you need a Fan on phones to stop them from overheating (i some times have to Hold my phone in front of my Air Vent until it cools down and this happens when its Cold whether ) there should be an option to reduce power usage so it reduces heat when its getting closer to thermal limits (to prevent prolong battery damage due to high temperature witch i like whats happened to my HTC M7 phone)
